Dear Mrs Foster,

RE: Planning Application 14/08778/FUL Proposed Wind Turbine

I work in at Barters Farm Nurseries. I am writing to express my deep concerns over the proposed Wind Turbine to be sited very close to the nursery.

1) This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and to see an Industrial turbine ruin this beauty landscape will be terrible. 2) The noise and flicker will effect all those living and working near the turbine. 3) The bird life will be damaged. We regularly see the following birds on the nursery

Peregrine Hobby Kestrel Buzzard Sparrow Hawk Red legged partridge Pheasant Lapwings (Breeding project less than a mile away) Barn Owl Tawney Owl Little Owl Short eared owl Great Spotted woodpecker Lesser Spotted wood pecker (rare) Swallow Swift House martin Grey Wagtail Pied Wagtail Meadow Pippit Tree pippit Skylark (endangered) Waxwings Garden Warbler Sedge warblier Willow Warbler Chifchaff Mute Swan Bewicks Swan Whitethroat Goldcrest Wren Blackcap Stonechat Wheatear Robin Redwing Fieldfare Mistle thrush Song Thrush Great tit Blue tit Willow tit Longtailed tit Nuthatch Treecreeper Red bunting Yellow hammer Corn Bunting (rare) Goldfinch Chaffinch Brambling Bullfinch Redpoll House Sparrow Jay Raven

And we have also seen a Pied Flycatcher a very rare bird in .

4) It is difficult to imagine what it might do to the local economy, but if the effects are devastating and we have to close our business because of it, 13 jobs will be lost along with an enormous about of horticultural knowledge in this area, no longer will plants be grown locally. Local Landscapers, Contractors, Garden designers, Gardeners, Golf clubs, Schools, Hotels, Centre Parcs will have to travel miles to get their plants. No longer will students come and learn horticultural skills at Barters.

If this wind turbine is built I will conclude that are happy to sacrifice the rural economy and ruin the bird life.

Yours sincerely,

Diana Walker
