The study of foreign languages refers to a study of any language that is not historically and traditionally spoken in the country of the learner. Often, learning the vocabulary, writing, and grammar of the language is paired with learning about the history and cultural of its native speakers. Learning foreign languages has become increasingly more important with the onset of globalization and has proven to be very beneficial when entering the workforce.

The student must complete Semester Learning foreign languages 4 or higher in a primary language, demonstrating effective Learning about other cultures skills in the four major areas of language study (reading, Travel writing, speaking, listening comprehension) in that English language language, as well as cultural proficiency.
