SWABIAN OPEN 2021 historical Tabletop Tournament Ludwigsburg, 29.Jan. - 31.Jan.2021

Hello Wargamers, the Swabian Open has to move out from our location in Gomaringen. We need more space for players and to cope with the Corona pandemic conditions. Future predictions are a bit difficult cur- rently, but these are the rules: Corona Verordnung des Landes Baden-Württemberg. We will move to Castle Lichtenberg in Oberstenfeld near Ludwigsburg north of Stuttgart. Beautiful castle from the time when the Stauffer family ruled the holy roman empire, and still inhabited. Rooms are big enough to play without masks (according to current regulation). Modern heating and sanitary places will provide the comfort wanted for modern-day players. Finances: we will raise the tournament fee only for 5 EUR to cover the extra lunch on Saturday. However the location does cost us more than the old one in Gomaringen. So we are happy to have King Racoon Games from Ludwigsburg to support us. They will be present on the weekend and present/test some new games they have in development. Still: keeping the fee low to not scare away players studying or just being a bit tight in finances, forces us to ask all those for a extra do- nation who can afford. Corona rules: • No more than 20 people in one room during tournament games • Distance of 1,5 meter to be kept • Every player bring a mask and really has it available at the table • Masks have to be worn for all situations (discussions, looking at miniatures et c.) where the distance cannot be kept. • Before dinner we will put away gaming tables in the „Rittersaal“ and set up this room for dinner. During diner we are allowed to be closer than 1,5 m but we are asked to keep same seats for the sake of tracing back contacts. (OK please do not make me explain this rule, but that is how it is ruled...). Names and contacts have to be given to the restaurant service to inform people if any positive contact happened. • Players not keeping the rules have to leave. Accomodation around Oberstenfeld:
