Baltimore Pride 2018 Theme – United We Shine By: Mimi Demissew

The 2018 Baltimore Pride theme is “United We Shine.” This year we asked the community to help us decide what the theme should be for the 2018 Baltimore Pride celebration. First we asked for submissions and after receiving a few, the Baltimore Pride Planning Committee added a few more suggestions to give the community more options from which to choose. We shared all of the theme ideas with the community and let the community decide. After a week of polling, the community overwhelmingly chose “United We Shine.” “United We Shine” is the official 2018 Baltimore Pride theme. This theme was generated from a community member’s theme submission. As a result this year’s theme submission winner is Vina Lockhart. As the winner of this year’s contest, Vina will get to join the pa- rade with our King and Queen of Pride. The GLCCB and Pride Committee are very happy to congratulate Vina.
