Slutrapport Nationell kartläggning av traditionella livsmedel och jordbruksprodukter med potential att söka skyddad beteckning enligt EU:s regelverk Charlotte Backman, Sven-Erik Larsson, Odd Nygård Rapport 3:2014, Hushållningssällskapet Skaraborg KUNSKAP FÖR LANDETS FRAMTID Förord Föreliggande rapport är resultatet av en kartläggning av livsmedel och jordbruksprodukter med regional identitet som genomfördes under perioden mars till oktober 2014 på uppdrag av Jordbruksverket. Hela resultatet av kartläggningen presenteras på Jordbruksverkets webbsida ”smakasverige.jordbruksverket.se”. Skara 2014-12-15 Charlotte Backman Sammanfattning Under 2014 genomförde Jordbruksverket en kartläggning av förekomsten av traditionella, svenska livsmedel och jordbruksprodukter med koppling till ett bestämt geografiskt område. Syftet var att identifiera produkter som kan bli aktuella för kommande ansökningar om skyddad ursprungs- eller geografisk beteckning enligt EU:s regelverk. Målet är att Sverige till år 2020 ska ha tredubblat antalet svenska produkter som skyddas av antingen Skyddad ursprungsbeteckning (SUB) eller Skyddad geografisk beteckning (SGB). Kartläggningen baseras på material som lämnats in av personer med god kännedom om regionala förhållanden: Matlandetambassadörer, Länsstyrelser, Hushållningssällskap, producentsammanslutningar, primärproducenter och förädlare.
