Dear Parishioners, The night of Christ’s Nativity -- the Incarnation of our Lord -- provides a connection of the spiritual with the material. The joy of that night is shared by all citizens of the earth and all citizens of heaven. On one hand, we hear the message about the eternal kingdom and peace without borders. On the other hand, we have elements that do not fit that description: the lack of space in the inn, a manger and the visit of poor shepherds. Celebrating the Eucharist, the Holy Church asks for the grace of participation in the divinity of the Son of God. May we -- recognizing today on Christmas Day the greatness of our human vocation -- regain the energy to fulfill it in our daily lives. Let us share the joy the Nativity of God-With-Us (Emmanuel) with others: members of our families, friends, neighbors, coworkers and everyone we encounter. Let us greet each other with the old and beautiful greeting that contains the very name of Christ: MERRY CHRISTMAS! In Christ, Fr. Mark Jurzyk Pastor

A Stewardship Moment Amidst the beautiful readings at the Christmas Masses is a reading from a small letter from Saint Paul to his protégé, Titus, read at . Saint Paul reminds Titus that God has given us a gift in the person of Jesus Christ. This gift represents God’s active presence in our lives and in our world. This gift redeems us from evil and death. This gift purifies us as God’s people. This is a gift that also comes with an expectation: that we receive it with thanksgiv- ing, allow it to transform us into Christ’s image; and from it, learn how to live a life “eager to do ROSARY FOR LIFE what is good.” Take time the next few days to reflect on the marvelous gift we celebrate at Come pray the Pro-Life Rosary at Christmas, and how we might become better Corpus Christi on Tuesday mornings in stewards of this gift. One of the things we do is to remember family, friends and others by giving them a gift to show our love and appreciation for all that they do. We remember everyone from Grandma to the paper boy; Aunt Sally to the person who cuts our hair. Have we ever thought about a gift for our par- ish, our spiritual home? We receive so many blessings from our heavenly Father, the greatest of which is the gift of His Son, Jesus. A gift showing our gratitude for all the blessings of the past year seems very appropriate.
