Information sheet for film and television recordings at the Dokumentation

The Berchtesgadener Landesstiftung (Berchtesgaden Regional Foundation) is the body responsible for the Dokumentation Obersalzberg. The Institut für Zeitgeschichte (Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History) is responsible for academic and museum-related affairs. The Berchtesgadener Landesstiftung has transferred the operation of the Dokumentation Obersalzberg to the Zweckverband Bergerlebnis Berchtesgaden (Berchtesgaden Administrative Union for Regional Tourism). This association is responsible for the domiciliary right of the Dokumentation Obersalzberg. This domiciliary right also includes the issuing of permits for film and television recordings.

Please note the following:

RECORDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Film and television recordings in the building of the Documentation Centre, including facilities made publicly accessible by the Dokumentation Obersalzberg, require prior permission. Recordings for exclusively personal purposes on a limited scale do not require a permit. 2. The copyright regulations and, in particular, the copyrights of third parties must be observed. We assume no responsibility for possible legal infringements. The sponsor of the recordings is exclusively responsible for the, possibly required, procurement of public law permits (e.g. special use permits for public roads, permits issued by the aviation authority of Southern , etc.). If we grant a permit, it therefore only extends to private law (civil law). 3. Permission can only be granted to recordings for cultural, documentary and research purposes that are related in content to the Dokumentation Obersalzberg. The selection of interview partners for film and television recordings in the Dokumentation Obersalzberg must be made in agreement with the Institut für Zeitgeschichte. 4. No fee is charged. The Dokumentation Obersalzberg may make the permit dependent on the reimbursement of any expenses incurred. 5. The instructions of the staff must be followed at all times. House regulations must be observed. We are not obliged to keep the recording location free of people, nor are exclusive recording permits issued. 6. Recordings may only be used for the purpose stated in the application. Any use of the recordings whose purpose was not permitted is expressly prohibited. The passing on of the recordings to anti-constitutional organizations of any kind, either free of charge or against payment, is prohibited. 7. The granting of a permit to film may be revoked at any time for good cause, in particular if the interests of the Dokumentation Obersalzberg require it. Revocation is also possible if the recordings are made by persons associated with anti-constitutional organizations or are to be used in an anti-constitutional context. In such a case of revocation no claims for damages can be made against the Free State of Bavaria, the Berchtesgaden Landesstiftung, the Zweckverband Bergerlebnis Berchtesgaden or the Institut für Zeitgeschichte. 8. The Free State of Bavaria, the Berchtesgadener Landesstiftung, the Zweckverband Bergerlebnis Berchtesgaden and the Institut für Zeitgeschichte shall not be liable for personal injury and property damage accruing to the applicant. solely bear all personal injury and property damage arising in connection with the recording activity. This does not apply if the damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence by employees or vicarious agents of the respective aforementioned parties. 9. The law of the Federal Republic of shall apply without exception to the realization of the recordings. As far as legally permissible, the agreed place of jurisdiction is 83410 Laufen in .
