The area is closed for train traffic during the period 26 June - 8 August 2011

The railway infrastructure in the Oslo area will undergo major upgrades this summer. NSB will therefore not be able to operate trains where the work is conducted.

Trondheim – Oslo / – Oslo

 Trains to/from and Stockholm will have Lillestrøm station as the point of departure and arrival.  Buses will take you between Oslo S and Lillestrøm station.

Bergen – Oslo

 Trains to/from will have /Hønefoss stations as the point of departure and arrival.  Buses will take you between Oslo S/Drammen/Hønefoss stations.

Stavanger – – Oslo

 Trains to/from and Kristiansand will have Drammen/ stations as the point of departure and arrival.  Busses will take you between Oslo S/Drammen/Kongsberg stations.

Halden – Oslo / Gøteborg () – Oslo

 The trains will run as normal from Oslo S.

Oslo S –

 The trains between Oslo and Lillehammer have Lillestrøm as the point of departure and arrival.  Buses will take you between Lillestrøm and Oslo S.

Oslo S –

 Trains from Skien/ to Oslo have Skøyen station as the point of arrival.  Buses will take you from Skøyen to Nationaltheatret (disembarkation only), and Oslo S.  Trains from Oslo to Skien/Larvik have station as the point of departure. Buses will take you between Oslo S and .

Suburban train services (”Lokaltog”)

 Trains going to or passing through Lillestrøm station: You can use the T-bane (metro) from all stations in Oslo to T-bane station. From Bryn railway station you can take the train to your destination. You will have to transfer by foot between Brynseng T-bane station and Brynseng railway station.  Trains going to Østfold: The train services will have Oslo S () as the point of departure and arrival. We have bus services between Oslo S and Skøyen station.  Trains going to /Drammen/Kongsberg/: All trains will have Skøyen as the station of departure and arrival. There will be bus services between Skøyen and Oslo S.

Nationalthatret station  Eastbound passengers going TO : There are bus services from Skøyen station taking you to Nationaltheatret station.  Passengers going FROM/TO Nationaltheatret station: Passengers with NSB tickets have to use the T-bane from/to Oslo S Monday – Friday. There will be bus services for NSB passengers between Nationaltheatret and Oslo S on Saturdays and Sundays.  Westbound passengers from Nationaltheatret: There are no westbound transport services from Nationaltheatret. Passengers are asked to use NSBs transport services from Oslo S or Skøyen station.

Gjøvik – Oslo

 All trains have station as the point of departure and arrival. Passengers holding NSB tickets to/from Oslo S can use the T-bane between the Storo T-bane station and down town Oslo. Passengers have to walk between the Storo T-bane station and the Grefsen railway station. The walk takes about five minutes.  Tøyen station is not covered by alternative transport options. Passengers are advised to use the transport options from either Oslo S or Grefsen railway station.

We recommend that you incorporate a generous time margin for your journey as it will take longer than usual.

Please note that the bus services do not correspond with suburban train services (“lokaltog”). Buses will correspond with long distance train services, but will have an earlier departure time than the normal schedule.

Please follow the signs for buses at stations where bus services are available. Bus services are available next to platform 19 at Oslo S (Oslo central station).

Passengers with valid NSB tickets can use the T-bane (metro) services during the closure period.
