How to get to Venzone

BY CAR

From Tarvisio: Venzone is located 65 km away from the Austrian and Slovenian borders and can be easily reached by car driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana or motorway A23 Alpe Adria. Exit at tollgate Amaro-Carnia and continue on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Udine.

From Udine: Venzone is located 35 km away from Udine and almost 100 km from well-known seaside resorts such as Grado or Lignano; it is possible to reach Venzone through motorway A23 Alpe Adria until tollgate Gemona-Osoppo or driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Tarvisio.

BY TRAIN

Reaching Venzone by public transport is very easy both by bus or train. Both train and bus stops are very close to the old town centre (about 250m and 150m, respectively) and they are easy to reach by foot in a few minutes.

BY PLANE

From Treviso Airport – Italia:

- BY CAR: it is possible to reach Venzone through motorway A4 to Palmanova; then driving on motorway A23 Alpe Adria until tollgate Gemona-Osoppo and at the end driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Tarvisio to Venzone. - BY TRAIN: take the train at Treviso Centrale station to Udine station, then change and take the train in the direction of Venzone. From Venezia Airport – Italia:

- BY CAR: it is possible to reach Venzone through motorway A4 to Palmanova; then driving on motorway A23 Alpe Adria until tollgate Gemona-Osoppo and at the end driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Tarvisio to Venzone. - BY TRAIN: take the train at Venezia S. Lucia station to Udine station, then change and take the train in the direction of Venzone. From Ronchi dei Legionari Airport (Trieste) – Italia:

- BY CAR: it is possible to reach Venzone through motorway A4 to Palmanova; then driving on motorway A23 Alpe Adria until tollgate Gemona-Osoppo and at the end driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Tarvisio to Venzone. - BY TRAIN: take the train in the direction of Venzone at Trieste Centrale station. From Ljubljana Airport – Slovenia:

- BY CAR: it is possible to reach Venzone driving on E61 to Resderta; then on H4 to Villesse; then through motorway A4 to Palmanova; then driving on motorway A23 Alpe Adria until tollgate Gemona-Osoppo and at the end driving on highway S.S.13 Pontebbana towards Tarvisio to Venzone. - BY TRAIN: take the train at Ljubljana station to Trieste Centrale station, then change and take the train in the direction of Venzone.

Registration and Important Information

Participation is free but registrations is mandatory. The organisers will provide lunches and dinners but participants need to cover accommodation and breakfasts.

For logistic reasons, please add in the registration form the place where you will be staying (suggestions on the following pages). It is possible to take a shuttle service from the local train station to the accommodation you have chosen.

The conference languages will be English and Italian. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
