2021 Member Schedule of Events

Private Lessons: Private lessons available by our Head Golf Professional.

$55/ hour or $35 half hour

Ladies Clinic: One Friday on months, May, June, July, August and September, Head Golf Professional, Ashton Benn, will conduct a clinic open to ladies of all skill levels. Cost is $10 per person and will be from 5-6pm.

Men’s Clinic: One Friday on months, May, June, July, August and September, Head Golf Professional, Ashton Benn, will conduct a clinic open to men of all skill levels. Cost is $10 per person and will be from 5-6pm.

PGA Jr. League: PGA Jr. League’s mission is to bring friends, families, and communities together around golf. Starting June 27th every Thursday and Sunday Wawenock will host a PGA Jr. League. Thursdays will be a practice format beginning at 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Sundays will be a rotating schedule of practice and play starting at 3pm.

2021 Member/Guest: This year’s one day member guest will consist of 18-holes. 2021 Member/Guest will be held on August 7th times starting at 7am. Format for this event will be a two-person scramble. Cost is $65 per person.

Spring Member/Member: Join the fun at Wawenock with a fellow member for our Spring Member/Member. Format will be 18-hole two-person better ball of partners with closest to the flag and long contests. Cost is $60 per person. Event will be on June 12th.

Fall Member/Member: Same format and game as our Spring Member/Member. Event will be on September 11th.

Women’s Golf Day: Ladies listen up! Free two-hour clinic on June 1st to kick start the season. Clinic will begin at 1pm and last until 3pm. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Fourth of July Flag Tournament: Pick up your flag in the Golf Shop before you play. Each player gets a flag with their name and attached. Tee off on #1 and plant the flag after reaching 35 strokes plus your handicap. Whoever makes it the furthest around the wins. Cost is $10 per person. Sign up in the golf shop.

2021 Club Championship: The most prestigious individual event of the year. This is a 36 hole medal play event. The overall Champion is determined by the overall gross total. Gross and net prizes will be awarded to the low finishers. Sign up in the golf shop or call the golf staff.

Entry fee: $20 per person

Date: July 17th & 18th

2021 President’s Cup: This event reveals the Champions of the year. You and your opponent will agree upon a mutual starting time and play a nine-hole net match play. Sign up deadline is June 15th. Cost is $20 per person.

2021 Men’s & Women’s Team Match Play: This event is one you do not want to miss! This event is similar to the President’s Cup format but it is played with a partner. Teams of two players play head to head net match play until a winning team is decided. Sign up deadline is June 15th. Cost is $15 per person.

Ladies AM League: Ladies AM League will be played on Thursdays starting on June 10th. Louise Cornforth will be the head of the AM League. Tee times starting at 9AM. Contact Louise at [email protected] (please add Thurs AM League in subject line on email)

Ladies PM League: Ladies PM League will be played on Mondays starting on June 7th. Mash Sutton will be the head of the PM League. Anyone interested in joining please contact Mash at [email protected] (please add Monday PM League in subject line on email)

Men’s AM League: Men’s AM League will be played on Wednesdays starting on June 9th. At 8AM we will have a shotgun start. Bob Sutton will be the head of the AM League. Anyone interested please contact Bob at [email protected] (please add Wednesday AM League in subject line on email)

Men’s PM League: Starting June 9th through August 25th every Wednesday there will be a 5:00PM shotgun start. Various events are played throughout the year. Cost is $5 per person. Sign up in the golf shop or call the golf staff.

2021 Short Game Championship: A new and exciting format in 2021! This will be a derby style game. Temporary will be set up anywhere from 30 yards and in around all nine holes. Each hole will be a 3 with no handicaps being used. Ten players will play the first hole, the highest score from the first hole will be eliminated and proceed with this process until only one player remains after the 9th hole. Cost is $5 and will be held on September 18th starting at 5pm. Field is limited to 15, sign up quick!

Social Scrambles: Once a month starting in June, we have a socially competitive scramble. Scramble is open to the public. Cost is $25 for members and $40 for non-members.
