The Singapore event came out tops in a voting exercise by more than 300 golfers who play in Asia, Europe, Africa and Australia. Although the prize-money for the event had dropped from a high of US$7 million to US$1 million, the Singapore Open, Tinaugurated in 1961, is a very popular tournament even among the world’s best players. Previous winners of the award include Ho Tram Cham- pionship in Vietnam and the Thailand Golf Championship in Thailand. Golfers such as Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Angel Cabrera and Sergio Garcia have graced the Sin- gapore Open which has made Sentosa Golf Club’s world- acclaimed Serapong course its home since 2005.     Piuraaġiaqta Top of the World Golf Tournament 9 Hole – Best Ball, Shotgun Start Tournament Rules: 1. Each team consists of 3 players. 2. Each person can use one iron, each team will share a putter and tee mat. 3. Each player is given 2 balls. If you lose both balls, play is done for that player. The team can continue unless all balls are lost. 4. The tee mat can be used until putting begins. 5. Each team will be assigned a hole to begin play. Once the tournament director has assigned your team a hole, go to your assigned hole and wait for the sound of the air horn before starting. Teams must play all holes to qualify for prizes. 6. Teach team member must tee off on each hole and the team will select the best shot to continue play. Each player will hit from that spot and all subsequent spots until the ball goes in the hole. 7. Count all shots that are used per hole and write the score on the score card. Once you have completed all 9 holes, add the scores and enter it in the total score block. All scores will be checked by the tournament director. 8. Each player must sign the team score card. Clubs, tee mats and tees must be returned to an ASTAC representative at the end of play. Players may keep their balls. 9. The team with the lowest score wins 1st place. The team with the second lowest score wins 2nd place and the third lowest score wins 3rd place.
