The 37th GS Caltex Championship DATE : 3rd - 6th May, 2018 / VENUE : NAMSEOUL COUNTRY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION (including CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION)

1. Eligibility

Players in the following categories are eligible for The 37th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship.

1) Any former Champions of the Tournament in the past 5 years 2) Leading 10 players from Official World Golf Ranking as at close of entries (capped at 250th position) 3) Any players from the Top 65th place from the KPGA exemption ranking as of 27 Mar 2018 4) Leading 50 players from AsianTour Categories 5) Winner of 2017 Golfzon Charity Korea Senior Open Golf Championship 6) The Lowest amateur players of 2017 Kolon and GS Caltex Maekyung Open 7) Winner of 2017 Korea Amateur Golf Championship and Maekyung Sollago Cup 8) Winner of 2017 Korea Mid Amateur Golf Federation Ranking(as of 31 Dec 2017) 9) 2018 Korea National Team players 10) 10 Qualified players from The 37th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship Qualifying 11) Any player who has won a KPGA Korean Tour Championship after the close of entry of The 37th GS Caltex Maekyung Open Golf Championship Qualifying 12) Tournament Invitations

Note 1: The starting field will be 144 players. Residual positions will be allocated to players exempt from the KPGA Korean Tour exemption ranking. Note 2: Categories 6~9 are only applicable when the entrant concerned is still an amateur on 3 May 2018.

2. Schedules

The championship shall be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes stroke play. In the event any round of a tournament shall be rained out or cannot be held for whatever reason, prizes advertised shall be distributed if at least two rounds (36 holes) of the tournament is completed.

Thursday, 3 May 2018 ...... First round, 18 holes

Friday, 4 May 2018 ...... Second round, 18 holes

After the above 36 holes are completed(In the event of failure to complete 36 holes, due to inclement weather conditions, the Cut-Off shall be decided by 18 holes), The 65 lower professional scorers and any tying for the 65th place shall be eligible for 3rd and Final Round. The number of amateur qualifiers will be decided by the tournament committee.(Amateur scoring lower than professional Cut-Off shall be eligible for 3rd and Final Round.)

Saturday, 5 May 2018 ...... Third round, 18 holes

Sunday, 6 May 2018 ...... Final round, 18 holes

Lowest scorer over the four rounds will be the winner. In the event of tie, champion will be decided by a hole by hole play-off. The play-off will be played at the 18th hole repeatedly. The play-off will start as soon as practicable after the last competitors have finished their round. Tie for the lowest amateur shall be decided by a card countback. The card countback will use the final round total score or back 9 or 6 or 3 or 2 or 1 hole and, if a tie still arises, will use the same method to the 3rd or 2nd or 1st round. In the event of more than two amateur players playing the play-off, the result of the play-off takes priority over the card countback.

- 1 - 3. Entries : Form, Fee, Closing Date

1) Entrants, including exempt players shall apply on KGA entry form. 2) Entry fee(KRW 150,000 for professional / KRW 50,000 for amateur) shall be paid to KGA. Refund for the entry fee will be made as below; (1) Before 2 weeks in advance; full amount of entree fee (2) 1 week in advance; KRW 75,000 for professional / KRW 25,000 for amateur (3) 3 days in advance; KRW 30,000 for professional / KRW 20,000 for amateur (4) 2 days or less; no refund 3) Entry application must reach KGA from Thursday, 12 April to Wednesday, 18 April 4 pm. 4) All entries shall be subject to the approval of the organizing committee, which reserves the right to accept or refuse, or having accepted, subsequently reject any entry without giving reason for its decision, which shall be final.

4. Rules of Golf

Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A, local rules by the Tournament Committee.

5. Specification of Clubs and the Ball

1) List of Conforming Golf Ball: The ball the player plays must be named on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: Disqualification

2) One Ball Condition: During a stipulated round, the balls a player plays must be of the same brand and model as detailed by a single entry on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R&A. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - Four strokes. When a player discovers that he has played in breach of this condition, he must abandon that ball before playing from the next teeing ground and complete the round with the proper ball; otherwise, the player is disqualified. If discovery is made during play of a hole and the player elects to substitute a proper ball before completing that hole, the player must place a proper ball on the spot where the ball played in breach of the condition lay.

3) List of Conforming Driver Heads: Any driver the player carries must have a clubhead, identified by model and loft, that is named on the current List of Conforming Driver Heads issued by the R&A. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: (1) PENALTY FOR CARRYING, BUT NOT MAKING STROKE WITH, CLUB OR CLUBS IN BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - Four strokes. (2) PENALTY FOR MAKING STROKE WITH CLUB IN BREACH OF CONDITION : Disqualification

4) Grooves: A player's clubs must conform to the groove specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010 (on the current list of conforming grooves issued by R&A). PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: (1) PENALTY FOR CARRYING, BUT NOT MAKING STROKE WITH, CLUB OR CLUBS IN BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round - Four strokes. (2) PENALTY FOR MAKING STROKE WITH CLUB IN BREACH OF CONDITION : Disqualification

- 2 - 6. Groups and Time of Starting

Groups and time of starting will be laid down by the Tournament Committee.

7. Official Practice Round

Privilege for official practice round at NAMSEOUL COUNTRY CLUB is extended to players in the championship on Wednesday, 2 May 2018. All participants should book the tee time through KGA. Players from the AsianTour categories should book through AsianTour.

8. Suspension of Play Due to a Dangerous Situation (Note to Rule 6-8b)

When play is suspended by the Committee for a dangerous situation, if the players in a match or group are between the play of two holes, they must not resume play until the Committee has ordered a resumption of play. If they are in the process of playing a hole, they must discontinue play immediately and not resume play until the Committee has ordered a resumption of play. If a player fails to discontinue play immediately, he is disqualified, unless circumstances warrant waiving the penalty as provided in Rule 33-7. The following signals are used in the case of discontinuance and resumption: Discontinue Play Immediately: One prolonged note of siren. Discontinue Play: Three consecutive notes of siren, repeated. Resume Play: Two short notes of siren, repeated.

9. Pace of Play (Note 2 to Rule 6-7)

The player must play without undue delay (Rule 6-7). See separate sheet of “Pace of Play” (Rule 6-7 Note 2.)

10. Personal Appearance

Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming.

11. Transportation

Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorised by the Committee. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF CONDITION: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round Four strokes (two strokes at each of the first two holes at which any breach occurred). If a breach is discovered between the play of two holes, it is deemed to have been discovered during play of the next hole, and the penalty must be applied accordingly.

12. Publicity and Promotion; Broadcasting

The KGA may arrange for (i) promotion of the Championship, for radio, internet and television broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Championship or excerpts thereof in any and all media throughout the world, whether now known or hereafter developed, and (ii) the design, manufacture and sale of merchandise which commemorates or memorializes the Championship, throughout the world. By this application, the player consents to the use by the KGA, or persons authorized by the KGA, of her name, likeness, voice and references to her and photographs and other images of her and her play connected with her appearance in the

- 3 - Championship, or any portion(s) thereof, in connection with such media promotion, broadcasting and other exhibition and publication of the Championship and design, manufacture and sale of commemorative merchandise.

13. Visa

All non-Korean players must submit with entry visa of status ‘C-4’ or ‘C-31’(work permit) to the tournament office before the first round of championship. For those non-Korean players whose nationality falls under the visa waiver program for entry into Korea, no submission is necessary.

14. Prizes and Awards

1) The Championship Cup will be awarded to the winner. A Trophy will be awarded to the lowest amateur. If an amateur becomes the winner, both Championship Cup and Trophy will be awarded. 2) Total championship prize money will be KRW 1,000,000,000. The winner will receive KRW 200,000,000. Besides winning prize money, others will be paid according to prize distribution table which will be announced after the cut-off. For those professionals who have withdrew, retired or has been disqualified after making the cut shall receive the lowest amount on the prize distribution table.

Note 2: Course Record and Daily Best Score awards will be divided equally among the corresponding amount. Note 3: If an amateur wins a special prize or award, it shall be given in accordance to the Rules of Amateur Status.

15. Conditions and Schedules

The Committee reserves the right to alter any of conditions and schedules herein.
