Saturday, May 19th, 2 p.m. Shotgun Start World Village – Slammer & Squire Two-Person Scramble – 18 Holes $110 per player

OVERVIEW: The Family Championship is new to the JAGA schedule but its roots lie in two former JAGA events, the Father-Son and Couples tournaments. The Family Championship is a re-creation of the two, with the circle of family eligibility expanding. The tournament concept was created by former PGA TOUR executive and JAGA director Duke Butler III. It is patterned after other tournaments in which his family has participated. Duke will be joined by his wife Sheila, Duke IV and daughter Sadie in chairing the event. There will be separate tournaments conducted, one for family teams and one for couples. The theme of the day will be fun and family memories. ELIGIBILITY: The Family component is open to men and women, boys and girls, grandparents, parents and in–laws, inclusive of most combinations of two relatives. Golfers age 9 to 99 are eligible. Juniors are 18 and younger. Amateurs and professionals are encouraged to play. Family eligibility is any combination of family members as long as one is over the age of 18. Couples may be married or not. HANDICAPS: The event will be a two-person scramble, just like the PGA TOUR Father-Son event. Most participants will have a USGA , which can be verified. However, entrants may provide an estimated handicap. The net team handicap will be determined by the USGA recommended method of 35% of the A player and 15% of the B player. ENTRY FEE: Entry fee is $110 per player ($220 per team), which includes golf, cart, warm-up balls, exhibition, buffet lunch and unique and Players Championship prizes. Teams will have the option to stay for dinner, with door and trivia prizes, at an additional cost of $20 per person. While the tournament is not a charity fundraiser, any proceeds will go to the JAGA scholarship fund. FORMAT: Two-person teams in a scramble format. In a scramble, each player hits a shot, the team selects the better result and continues until a ball is holed. markers based upon age, gender and handicap.18 holes. 2:00 p.m. Shotgun Start 6:30 p.m. Play Concludes 7:00 p.m. Awards Dinner (+$20), Door and Trivia Prizes FLIGHTS There will be a minimum of four flights with gross and net prizes in the Family, Couples, Senior Couples (both players age 50 or older) and Professional divisions. PRIZES, AMENITIES Family and Couples tournament winners will receive souvenir items from The Masters Tournament and The Players Championship. Each contestant will receive a gift at registration. The World Golf Village will offer each player a certificate for discounted play during the summer. ON-COURSE BEVERAGES AND SNACKS Beverage carts will be in operation during play for contestants to purchase beverages and snacks.

ENTRIES, PAYMENTS, WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS: All players shall apply online via the JAGA website (www.jaxareagolf.org) under “2018 Schedule” > “The Family Championship” tabs. No entry is complete until payment is received. The deadline for JAGA receipt of entries is 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. In the event of withdrawal an entry fee will be refunded if the Tournament Chairman is notified before the entry deadline, subject to a $10 administrative fee. After the entry closing date the entry fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness, made at the discretion of the Tournament Chairman and subject to a $25 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after the competition begins. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during play. The reason for rejection may include false statement of handicap index, improper attire and/or unbecoming conduct. Any person whose entry is accepted shall be subject to the “Rules and Conditions of Competition” as set forth by JAGA. WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS Every effort will be made to complete play on May 19th. In the event of inclement weather, the Tournament Committee, in conjunction with the host club professional, will review options based upon weather, number of holes completed and remaining daylight. In all likelihood, no entry fee refunds will be made once the tournament has commenced. ; CLOSE OF COMPETITION: Play will be governed by USGA and the Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for JAGA championships (available on the JAGA website under “Documents”). Questions will be settled by the Tournament Chairman, whose decision shall be final. The competition shall be deemed to have closed after all prizes have been awarded. LOCAL RULES: A “Notice to Players” will be distributed at registration and/or placed on each contestant . Players may improve their lie through the green within one club length, no closer to the hole. If the chosen ball is in a , the first ball is to be played as it lies, the second recreated as close as possible.

Head west on International Golf Parkway and make your first right-hand turn onto WGV Blvd, which will circle its way into the Village and lead to the Slammer & Squire parking lot entrance, which will be on your right.
