PARTICIPATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN COSTANTINO ALBANESE (PZ) TO THE UNTSDR CAMPAIGN "MAKING CITIES RESILIENT"
DECLARATION
Due to the strong will of this local community to develop environmental sustainability and territorial security themes in the daily urban and land-use govemment actions, and foliowing the Provinc Potenza solicitation being engaged in the implementation of the UNISDR Making Cities Resili Campaign over the provincial territory, the Municipa!ity of SAN COSTANTINO ALBANESI shares the aims and objectives of the Campaign and therefore is interested injoining it as a "Participant City". We will actively participate with the Province in the action proposed for strengthening "resi 1 of the provincial territory community by adopting local policies and measures to reduce, prevent, anticipate, absorb and adapt to, or recover from, the effects ofdisasters quickly and efficiently. The Municipality will be committed in the fulfilment of the objectives of the Campaign, also by taking advantat support provided in developing and implementing strategies for territorial resilience, incorporati strategies in its local development plans and programs. In this way, the Murncipality will cooperate in strengthening the provincia! Integrated Temtorial Network for sharing experiences and competencies on territorial and conmiuriity themes and will benefit fromitin the development oflocal policies. STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO THE COOPERATION IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UNIISDR CAMPAIGN "MAKING CITIES RESILIENT"
The Municipaiity of SAN COSTANTINO ALBANESE (PZ) has joined the UNISDR Making Cities Resilient Campaign as a "Participant City". Foliowing the Province of Potenza solicitation being engaged in the implementation of the UNISDR Making Cities Resilient Campaign over the provincial territory, by means ofthis statement of commitment the Municipaiity of SAN COSTANTINO ALBANESE (PZ) establishes formai cooperation with the Province of Potenza for the integration of environmental sustainability and territorial security themes in the urban and land-use govemment actions. The Municipaiity will actively participate with the Province in the action proposed for strengthening "resilience" of the provincial territory conimunity by adopting local policies and measures to reduce, prevent, anticipate, absorb and adapt to, or recover from, the effects of disasters quickly and efficiently. The Municipality will be committed in the fulfilment of the objectives of the Campaign, also by taking advantage of the support provided by the Province of Potenza in developing and implementing strategies for territorial resilience, incorporating these strategies in its local development plans and programs. In this way, the Municipality will cooperate in strengthening the provincial Integrated Territorial Network for sharing experiences and competencies on territorial and community themes and will benefit from it in the development of local policies. By means ofthis statement, I formally entrust the Province of Potenza and its Local Foca! Point to cooperate with the Municipality and to assist its Mayor in the development of the actions of the Campaign and in the relationship with the institutional system and UNISDR. Yours sincerely.
