Description Position Overview and Responsibilities VOX Global, a bipartisan strategic communications firm that combines the intensity and agility of a political campaign with the experience of working for some of the most well-known companies and organizations in the world, is offering full-time, paid internships with its Public Affairs team. Qualified applicants will be talented college juniors, seniors, or recent graduates willing to commit full time with the necessary skills to assist our team with writing, research, media outreach, social media analytics and more. Interns are provided a challenging and stimulating work environment and have the opportunity to participate in professional development trainings to grow their skills. Strong interest in communications, government relations and issue advocacy with exceptional attention to detail and writing skills is strongly preferred. POSITION SPECS While no two days look the same, regular intern assignments include media sweeps, research and drafting content for a variety of mediums. Interns can expect to work closely with all levels of the organization on a variety of projects for clients in a diverse range of industries. They will refine their writing and research skills and be trained on a variety of industry tools. The internship is a paid, full-time position based in the heart of downtown DC. The summer term runs approximately from June 2 - September 4, 2020. If selected for a phone interview, please be prepared to indicate your availability, including scheduled time off.
QUALIFICATIONS Rising seniors or recent graduates with full time availability (office hours from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Demonstrated interest in communications, public relations, public affairs and/or related fields Excellent research and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Prior work experience recommended Professional Spanish competency a plus Interest or experience with social media a plus Interest or experience with data and analytics a plus
