1261 Letters Indicating Violations of Rules Issued to Procuring Agencies

During April - June, 2015 the Procuring Agencies uploaded 8824 tender notices on the PPRA website. On scrutiny of the tender notices, it was found that 1261 tender notices were in violation of the Public Procurement Rules, 2004. As a standard procedure, all the procuring agencies were informed about the violations and were advised to rectify to make the tender notices in accordance with the provisions of the Rules.

Maximum violations committed by the procuring agencies related to Rule 13 (Response Time) and Rule-28 (Opening of Bids). The percentage of compliance of Public Procurement Rules, 2004, on indicated violations by PPRA, was 9.6 %.
