Requirement: To note the monthly statement of accounts of Cantt Fund for the month of April & May 2020 alongwith monthly statement of arrears of Revenue for the Month of April & May, 2020. Requirement: To consider and approve re-appropriation of Cantonment Fund under Rule-21(a) of the Pakistan Cantonment Account Code, 1955 from different Heads to another major Heads of the sanctioned budget for the year 2019-2020, as under:- S. Title: RE-IMBURSEMENT OF MEDICAL CHARGES IN RESPECT OF STAFF OF KARACHI CANTONMENT BOARD. Requirement: To consider an applications submitted by following staff of Karachi Cantonment Board requesting therein for Re- imbursement of medical charges incurred of them which was scrutinized / verified by the Acting Medical Supdt, Cantt General Hospital, Karachi Cantonment Board vide its letter No. KCB/CGH/20/212 dated 07-02-2020, No. KCB/CGH/20/191 dated 12-03-2020 & No. KCB/CGH/20/210 dated 07-05-2020. Title: RENEWAL OF LEASE IN SCHEDULE-IV OF CLA RULES, 1937 BAZAAR AREA KNOWN AS BIZERTA LINES / MUSLIM COLONY. Requirement: To consider renewal of leases in Schedule-VIII of CLA Rules, 1937 pertaining to Bazar Area of KCB known as Bizerta Lines & Muslim Colony. This office had leased out 345 Units approximately (Residential & Commercial) during the period spanning over 1978 to 2011. The leases executed in the above said period stand expired in the year 2007 & some in year 2015. As per Clause-III of lease in Schedule-VIII the CEO is empowered to execute the renewal of the leases. In view of above, the case is placed before the Board for consideration of renewal of leases by the CEO in the light of Clause-III of the lease which has expired in the year 2007 or in the succeeding years. Resolution: Considered and approved renewal/extension of lease (Residential/Commercial) for the plots / properties situated at Bizerta Lines & Muslim Colony on Schedule-IV of CLA Rules,1937 for period of 30 years (2nd term) w.e.f. from01/01/2008 &from 22/03/2015 subject to clearance of all Cantt Board dues and fulfilment of all codal formalities. ENGINEERING BRANCH Item No: 05. Title: UNIFICATION BUILDING BYE-LAWS FOR KARACHI REGION. Reference: CBR No. 08 dated 13.02.2020 & RHQ, Karachi letter No. 1/454/DKR/Vol-6/Genl/32 dated 14.05.2020& 1/454/Vol- 7/DKR/39 dated 10.06.2020. P a g e 5 | 19 Requirement: To consider the proposed building bye-laws – 2019 for Karachi Region.The Building Bye-Laws Regional Committee(BBRC) has finalized the Unified Building Bye-Laws for Karachi Region. To invite the objections / suggestions from the general public, Public Notice got published in daily “Express”Karachi,daily “Naibaat”Karachi&“Business Recorder”Karachi dated 10.03.2020.No public objection / suggestion received in this regard. However, Association of Builders & Developers of Pakistan (ABAB) vide their letter No. ABAD/2020/0753/EM- 1960 dated 01.06.2020 has proposed that “The enclosed proposed amendments are in line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan and within the parameters of Cantonment Board Act, 1924. Transparency and ease of doing business has been ensured in the document”. All connected papers are placed on the table. Resolution: Considered and approved. Suggestions of ABAD also endorsed. The case to be forwarded to DML&C Karachi for further necessary action. Item No: 06. Title: RENEWAL OF THE LICENCES OF THE ARCHITECTS AND VETTING STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS Requirements: To consider application submitted by registered architects and Structural Vetting Engineers of Karachi Cantonment Board requesting for renewal of the enlistment for the year 2019 & 2020.
