As you explore Wendron’s quiet farmland or walk along its tinkling streams, it’s easy to feel like you’ve stepped back in time. But if you did step back 150 years or so, you would find yourself in a very different landscape – a noisy, dirty, smoky industrial area.

For all latest public transport information please refer to www.cornwallpublictransport.info By train • 7.5 miles from Cambourne station • 8 miles from Penryn station By car • Wendron is situated on the B3297 Helston to Redruth Road. • Parking available at the New Inn By bus • No 34 Helston - Redruth

About the trail

Approximate walking time: Allow 2 hours. Grade of Walk: Moderate. The walk involves several stiles and gates, and can be very muddy in wet weather.

Accessibility: The trail is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Toilets: There are no public toilet facilities along the trail, however the New Inn and Poldark Mine has toilets.

Health & Safety: For your safety, please take care when you cross the roads as the traffic can be deceptively fast (especially the B3297 after stop 1). Stay on the footpaths through the farmland.

Facilities: The New Inn is at the start of the trail. Please check opening times (01326 572683). Poldark Mine also has a restaurant (01326 573173).
