The current owners of Lower Farm have achieved planning consent (15/04030/FUL) for a new farmhouse with ancillary garage in place of the existing modern agricultural buildings. The permission allows for the construction of a family house extending to approximately 6,000 sq ft over three floors and the change of use of a Grade II listed granary and barn to ancillary and domestic use. The planning consent dictates that the granary, barn and garage shall be used only for purposes “incidental to the enjoyment of a dwelling house and shall not be used for any business, commercial or industrial purposes”.
