The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (Regulation 16)

Oakley and Deane Parish Council as the qualifying body has prepared a neighbourhood development plan, entitled Oakley and Deane Neighbourhood Plan 2011-2029, for their parish with the help of the local community. The neighbourhood plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is satisfied that the submitted Oakley and Deane Neighbourhood Plan complies with the relevant legal requirements and can therefore proceed to formal consultation and independent examination.

In accordance with the Regulations, the Borough Council is required to publicise the Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents and invite comments.

Copies of the Oakley and Deane Neighbourhood Plan, Sustainability Appraisal, Consultation Statement and Basic Conditions Statement are available to view on the borough council’s website: http://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplans. Additionally, there are a number of supporting documents that are available to view on the Parish Council’s website: http://www.oakleydeane- pc.gov.uk.

The period for submission of representations will run from Monday 17 August until Monday 5 October 2015. Representations should arrive no later than 4.00pm on 5 October 2015. All representations received will be available to view publicly.
