Qioptiq Photonics GmbH & Co. KG

The merger of Rodenstock Präzisionsoptik GmbH & Co. KG and LINOS Photonics GmbH as a new corporation, LINOS Photonics GmbH & Co. KG, took place in 2002. The new company moved to the newly built production plant in Regen in 2006. Then, in 2007, the integration into the company Qioptiq Photonics GmbH & Co. KG was effected. Presently the company employs approx. 230 employees as well as 15 apprentices at its location in Regen. Among the precision optical components it produces are for example spherical lenses, flat/prism optics, cylindrical lenses, aspherical lenses including freeform surfaces, hot- forming processes, fine cementing, etc. In addition, the firm maintains cooperation arrangements with scientific institutes.

Rehau has been an established name in for 50 years now. Technology Campus Teisnach TC

The forestry and timber network of the Bavarian Forest

The Bavarian Forest is one of the richest regions in Europe regarding wood reserves. Therefore, since the autumn of 2008, the forestry and timber network Bavarian Forest has adopted as its goal to increase the utilization of wood in the region and thereby to raise the added value of the local timber companies.

The network is the partner of the cluster initiative Forest and Wood in Bavaria and in the meantime over 480 companies, institutions and persons have joined the initiative for more wood in the Bavarian Forest. The network organizes joint presentations at trade fairs and professional events for its partners, provides neutral advice on wood uses and through press relations, makes the topic "wood" public. All who work with wood, directly or indirectly, are welcome to contribute their ideas in the forestry and timber network of the Bavarian Forest.

Glass network

The glass network was founded in October 2010. The network is a group of companies, scientific institutes and persons concerned with all the topics surrounding glass. The glass network includes all the economic branches in the glass industry with their corresponding production and refinement processes.

It is the task and goal of the network to support all the outstanding innovations and ideas involving the manufacture and refinement of glass with respect to their representation, implementation and marketing.
