Something important like your acceptance letter for college. Or some- thing really important like a love letter... Then you can only hope it finds its way to the basement Post Office workplace of the Dead Letters team. In the second season, more potentially life-changing mail lands on the desk of the sweet and somewhat old-fashioned Oliver, who heads the team of like-minded missionaries of the missives as they track down what has failed to be delivered until now. In the first season, Oliver and Shane are slowly becoming a lovely couple, while the same is happening to the adorable Rita and her shy admirer Norman, who can be pretty much of a superman when he‘s on the trail of a letter. All four have noticed long ago that love – and breaking up – are much more frequently found in such letters than in emails, which means that these letters have absolute priority for Oliver and his team. In addition to timely, serious topics, emphasis is placed on love in the second season. The focus is on Oliver‘s wife Holly, who returns from two years in France to assess how their relationship has fared over time and distance. One of the first people she runs into is Shane... She, Oliver and Holly now all have to cope with love lost and found.
