NOTE ON TELEVISION SOURCES Thanks to streaming video, it is easier than ever to watch old television. Still, serious television scholars should take care to confrm the ver- sions they fnd online match the episodes as they were originally broad- cast. Even the episodes found on Netfix, Amazon Prime, or Hulu may be slightly compromised (e.g., see Chapter 6, Note 24). The following is a list of the primary viewing sources for the main television shows I examined. Because of shifting rights agreements, certain shows may no longer be available on the streaming platform I used to view them. Also, while I did watch every episode from the following series that aired in the nineties, I have not watched every post-2000 episode of Frasier, Law & Order, ER, The Simpsons, or Touched by an Angel. Sometimes, you just have to turn off the TV and go outside. Chapter Three Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Online video. Seasons 1–9. Netfix. Frasier. Online video. Seasons 1–11. Netfix. Friends.
