CAST BIOS
PATRICK STEWART (Captain Nemo) – Patrick Stewart was most recently seen in the Emmy® Showtime remake of "The Lion in Winter." In 2003, Stewart appeared in two high profile stage productions: Ibsen's The Master Builder in London's West End and most recently he completed a run of Harold Pinter's drama The Caretaker on Broadway with fellow “Mysterious Island” star Kyle MacLachlan.
Stewart is well-known for his roles in two hit movie franchises. He stars as Professor Charles Xavier in 20th Century Fox's "X-Men" and "X-2" both directed by Bryan Singer. He also stars as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the "Star Trek" feature films, a role he played on television for six years.
Stewart earned both Emmy® and Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series or Mini-Series for his role as Captain Ahab in USA Network's “Moby Dick,” opposite Gregory Peck and Henry Thomas. In 1998, Stewart received critical notice for his portrayal in the title role of Othello at the Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC.
On television, Stewart originated the role of Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the hit series "Star Trek: The Next Generation" which aired from 1988 to 1994; this role earned him Best Actor nominations from the American TV Awards and the Screen Actors Guild. In addition to his starring role, he also directed several episodes, one of which ("A Fistful of Datas") received an Emmy®. Stewart reprised the role of Captain Picard for Paramount Pictures in the motion pictures "Star Trek: Generations" (which also starred William Shatner and Malcolm McDowell), "Star Trek: First Contact," "Star Trek: Insurrection" and "Star Trek: Nemesis."
Stewart's additional film credits include the film adaptation of Paul Rudnick's play, "Jeffrey," "Hedda," "Dune," "Lady Jane," "Excalibur," "LA Story," "Death Train," "Robin Hood: Men In Tights," "Gunmen," "Masterminds," "The Pagemaster," "Conspiracy Theory," "Safe House" and "Dad Savage."
In 2001 New Years' Honors list, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth conferred on Stewart the order of the Officer of the British Empire (O.B.E.).

KYLE MACLACHLAN (Captain Cyrus Smith) - Kyle MacLachlan is perhaps best known for his performance as FBI Agent Dale Cooper in David Lynch's groundbreaking television series "Twin Peaks," for which he received two Emmy® nominations and a Golden Globe award.

Recently, MacLachlan played the role of Cary Grant in Sony Pictures Classics "Touch of Pink" and he starred in "The Librarian" for TNT, along with Noah Wyle and Bob Newhart. MacLachlan also starred for two seasons on HBO's highly successful comedy series, "Sex and the City," as Charlotte’s ideal man, Dr. Trey MacDougal.
In 2003, he made his Broadway debut as Aston in Harold Pinter's The Caretaker starring with Patrick Stewart and Aidan Gillen. Directed by David Jones for the Roundabout Theater Company, the play was nominated for Best Revival of a Play by the Outer Critics Circle.
MacLachlan made his feature film debut in the futuristic drama "Dune," directed by David Lynch. This was followed by his second collaboration with Lynch in the uniquely disturbing "Blue Velvet." He made his directorial debut in 1993 with an episode of the darkly comic hit television series, "Tales from the Crypt."
MacLachlan currently lives in New York with his wife and two dogs.

GABRIELLE ANWAR (Jane Spillet) - Gabrielle Anwar was born in Laleham, Middlesex, England. She has starred in over 35 films and television performances to her credit, including her breakout film, “Scent of a Woman,” in which she appeared opposite Al Pacino.
She also gave compelling performances in Barry Sonnenfeld’s “For Love or Money,” in which she starred opposite Michael J. Fox,“Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead” with Andy Garcia and Disney’s “The Three Musketeers” with Charlie Sheen and Keifer Sutherland.
Gabrielle has accumulated numerous notable television appearances, including HBO Film’s “In the Pursuit of Honor,” David E. Kelly’s “The Practice” and most recently, Fox’s “John Doe.”
In 2004, after a small break to spend time with her family and newborn child, she starred in the independent dramatic thriller “9/Tenths.” Gabrielle also continues to explore her creative nature in her writing and poetry, at both the personal and professional level.
Gabrielle and her family currently live in Southern California.

OMAR GOODING (Neb) – Omar Gooding has been continually working since age 11. His numerous television credits include: “Smart Guy” and “Zoe...” for The WB; ABC’s “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper,” host of Nickelodeon’s “Wild & Crazy Kids,” as well as guest appearances on “The Division,” “Touched by an Angel,” “Batman and Beyond” and “Blossom.” This summer Gooding will star in “Barbershop,” a new sitcom on Showtime, based on the hit movie franchise.
In 2001, Omar gave a memorable performance as Sweetpea in the Columbia Tristar film “Baby Boy” with Tyrese and Snoop Dogg. Gooding’s additional credits include “Verbal Communications,” “Ghost Dad” with Bill Cosby, directed by Sidney Poitier, TNT’s “Freedom Song” with Danny Glover and the Disney Channel film “The Ernest Green Story” with Morris Chestnut.
Omar hails from a show business dynasty. His older brother and mentor, Cuba Gooding Jr. won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for “Jerry Maguire” and both parents have had notable careers in music: Cuba Gooding Sr. was the lead singer for Main Ingredient (made famous by the hit, “Everybody Plays the Fool”) and Shirley Gooding was an ensemble singer with the New York group The Sweethearts. Omar also shares his parent’s passion and records hip-hop music in his spare time.
Omar’s acting honors include the 1991 Youth in Film Award and First Place at the prestigious Shakespeare Festival in 1993.
Omar currently resides in Los Angeles and is dedicated to working with children’s charities.

DANIELLE CALVERT (Helen Spillet) – Danielle Calvert trained at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School and has starred in several theater and television projects, mostly in her home country of England. Danielle’s most recent television credits include “Playground,” “Hollyoaks,” “Messiah II” and “Oscar Charlie.”
Her theater credits include Whistle Down The Wind, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Royal Gala Performance, Annie Get Your Gun, Babes in the Wood, Annie and Peter Pan.
