CAST BIOS
ERIC MABIUS (Oliver O’Toole) – Eric Mabius is best known for his role in the hit series “Ugly Betty,” playing a womanizing executive. An actor with an intense screen presence, Mabius brings a varied background to his work. He is the second of two sons of Craig and Elizabeth Mabius. Of Polish, Irish and Austrian ancestry, he was born in Pennsylvania, but spent much of his life in Massachusetts.
A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, he first came to the attention of movie fans with his film debut in “Welcome to the Dollhouse.” Since then, Mabius has taken on a wide variety of roles, avoiding being typecast. He earned favorable notice for his performance as a high school gang leader in “Black Circle Boys,” but is known for his role as a blackmailed prep school athlete in the box office smash “Cruel Intentions.” Mabius also starred in “The Crow: Salvation,” a sequel to the Brandon Lee film and appeared in the science fiction action film “Resident Evil.”
In addition to his starring role on “Ugly Betty,” Mabius was also a series regular on “The O.C.,” “The L Word,” “Eyes” and “Outcasts.” Other television appearances include guest roles on hits “Scandal,” “Blue Bloods,” “Franklin & Bash,” “The Client List” and the mini-series “Political Animals.” Mabius also starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movies “How to Fall in Love” and “Reading, Writing & Romance.”

KRISTIN BOOTH (Shane McInerney) – Kristin Booth’s feature film credits include Toronto International Film Festival film selections “Defendor,” “YPF” (ACTRA Award nomination) and “This Beautiful City,” as well as the heist thriller “Foolproof” opposite Ryan Reynolds, “On The Line,” “Detroit Rock City,” “Gossip,” “Cruel Intentions 2” and “Kardia.” For her work in “YPF,” Booth was awarded the 2009 Genie Award.

CRYSTAL LOWE (Rita Haywith) – Vancouver actress Crystal Lowe is not only a captivating rising star, but also one of Hollywood’s most in-demand “Scream Queens” and sought-after sci- fi heroines. Lowe, who was born and raised in Vancouver, had the unique opportunity to live in Hong Kong for some time during her adolescent years. She began her career in modeling, winning several competitions and being featured as a centerfold and cover model for numerous magazines. She also modeled for the videogames “Need for Speed” 2004 and “Fight Night 2004.”

GEOFF GUSTAFSON (Norman Dorman) – Originally from Maple Ridge, Geoff Gustafson moved to Toronto and then back to Vancouver a few years ago to further pursue his passion for acting. He’s been featured in numerous commercial campaigns including Future Shop, Volkswagen, Canadian Tire, Weisers and Visa. He was also the recipient of a 2004 Bessie award for his performance in an AGF Financial services campaign.
Most recently Gustafson has been busy guest starring on “Emily Owens MD,” “Psych” and “Cult,” as well as a new situational comedy, “Package Deal.” In addition, Gustafson worked as a series regular on “Primeval: New World” currently airing on the SyFy Network.

VALERIE HARPER (Theresa Capodiamonte) – Beloved actress Valerie Harper is perhaps best known for her role as Mary Tyler Moore’s outgoing upstairs neighbor turned best friend, Rhoda Morgenstern, on the hit comedy series “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” airing on CBS from 1970 to 1977. The series, which earned a nearly record-breaking 29 Emmy® Awards, three Golden Globe® Awards and countless other accolades, produced a spin-off sitcom, “Rhoda,” starring Harper in the lead role for five seasons. A series all her own, “Rhoda” won two Golden Globes® and two Emmy® Awards. With this memorable and impactful role on one of the most loved sitcoms of all time, Harper garnered critical acclaim and four Emmy® Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, leading to a successful and long career on stage and screen, and securing her place in television and in the hearts of American viewers.
Born in Suffern, New York, Harper moved around with her family until settling in New York City in 1959, where she studied ballet. Harper began her career as a chorus girl on the Broadway production of Li’l Abner. She went on to perform in several Broadway musicals in the 1960s and beyond, including Take Me Along, Wildcat, Subways are for Sleeping, Something Different, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, Paul Sills’ Story Theater and Metamorphoses.
After a move to Los Angeles, Harper was asked to audition for the part of Rhoda and began her long career in television. In addition to “Rhoda,” Harper also enjoyed several other roles during her long tenure, including a Golden Globe® nominated performance in “Freebie and The Bean” in 1974 and guest-starring appearances on “Love, American Style,” the first season of “The Muppet Show” and “Columbo.” In 1979, Harper garnered another Golden Globe® nomination for her supporting role in the Academy Award-nominated film “Chapter Two,” alongside Marsha Mason and James Caan. Her other feature films include “The Last Married Couple in America” with Natalie Wood and George Segal, “Blame It On Rio” with Michael Caine, “Certainty” and “Shiver.”
In the 1980s, Harper saw success with several TV movies, including “Fun and Games,” “The Shadow Box,” “The Day the Loving Stopped,” “Farrell for the People,” “Don’t Go to Sleep” and “An Invasion of Privacy.” She also had a recurring role on “The Love Boat” series. In 1986,

Harper once again found herself in the sitcom spotlight on the NBC series “Valerie,” playing title character and family matriarch Valerie Hogan, a mother of three boys, for the first two seasons of the show. She co-starred with Josh Taylor, Jason Bateman, Jeremy Licht and Luis Daniel Ponce.
Harper’s other television appearances include guest roles on hits “Sex and the City,” “Touched by an Angel,” “Melrose Place,” “That ‘70s Show,” “Drop Dead Diva,” “Desperate Housewives” and “The Simpsons.” In 2000, Harper starred with Moore in “Mary and Rhoda,” a TV movie about the reunion of their iconic characters.
In 2010, Harper returned to the stage to perform in Looped, earning a Tony Award nomination for her portrayal of legendary actress Tallulah Bankhead in the production. She also portrayed Golda Meir in the national tour of the one-woman play Golda’s Balcony, the winner of the Best Play 2006 Touring Broadway Award, which was later made into a movie of the same name starring Harper.
Harper is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has served on the Hollywood Board of Directors of SAG. She has written two books: I Rhoda, a memoir published by Simon & Schuster in January 2013 and Today I Am A Ma’am and Other Musings on Life, Beauty, and Growing Older, a lighthearted, irreverent look at aging.
Despite going public with a terminal lung cancer diagnosis, Harper has continued to do what she loves most—perform. Most recently, Harper was seen as a contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” In September, she reunited with several women from the original cast of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” including Moore, Cloris Leachman, Betty White and Georgia Engel, to guest-star on the TV Land series “Hot in Cleveland,” bringing them all together on the same set for the first time in 30 years.
Harper resides in Los Angeles with her husband.

Out of her affiliation with Jubilee came Reese’s first big recording hit, “And That Reminds Me”, and she was soon voted “Most Promising Singer” by Billboard, Cashbox, Variety, Disc Jockeys of America, and Jukebox Operators Association.
A subsequent recording contract with RCA yielded Reese her biggest hit, “Don’t You Know,” along with her first Grammy® award. Riding on a wave of accolades, she parlayed her success to a nine-year run as a headlining singer in Las Vegas. Most recently, she has appeared on stage in her one woman show, “My Life in Song.”
In the late 1950s and early 1960’s, Reese launched a successful television career, appearing on all the hit variety shows of the era including “The Perry Como Show,” “ The Jackie Gleason Show” and “The Ed Sullivan Show.” After appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show nineteen times in one year, Reese caught the eye of Johnny Carson. She went on to appear on the Tonight Show numerous times and became the first woman to host. In the late 1960s, Reese solidified her place in the talk show arena with her own syndicated daytime variety show, “Della,” making her the very first African American woman to host her own show.
The apex of Reese’s television career was the nine years that she co-starred in Martha Williamson’s hit series “Touched by an Angel” as Tess, the chief angel with a mission to help troubled people find redemption. The show aired on CBS from 1994 to 2003 and earned Reese seven NAACP Image® awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series as well as several nominations for Emmy®, SAG® and Golden Globe® awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Along with a wave of critical acclaim, Reese’s portrayal of the tough but tender Tess has left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions of viewers across America. In 2000, Carol added playwright to her credits when she and her daughter, Carrie Hamilton, began writing a play together based on Carol’s autobiography. Sadly, Carrie passed away four months prior to the play’s premiere at the Chicago Goodman Theatre in April 2002. But Carrie’s dream was fulfilled when Hollywood Arms premiered on Broadway. Directed by Hal Prince, Hollywood Arms premiered on Broadway on October 31, 2002. Carol established The Carrie Hamilton Foundation to honor her daughter’s memory and her passion for the performing arts.
Born in San Antonio, Texas in 1933, Carol, her mother, and grandmother moved to a less-than- glamorous section of Hollywood in the late 1930s. Raised in a small studio apartment by her grandmother, but with no financial means, Carol could only dream of college. After receiving an anonymous donation of $50 to pay for her tuition to UCLA, Carol enrolled. While studying journalism, Carol took an acting class, and the rest is history. After moving to New York City, Carol staged a musical revue, featuring her out-of-work roommates from The Rehearsal Club, a theatrical boarding house, performing material by unemployed writers and composers. Soon, offers for summer stock and 13 weeks' work on Paul Winchell's TV show followed. While performing at The Blue Angel nightclub, she was spotted by talent bookers from both “The Jack Paar Show” and “The Ed Sullivan Show” and was invited to perform her infamous rendition of "I Made a Fool of Myself Over John Foster Dulles” on television. Shortly thereafter, Carol landed the leading role of Princess Winifred in the original Broadway musical production of Once Upon a Mattress. During this period, Carol met Julie Andrews and the two became close friends. After the duo appeared in their Emmy®-winning special, “Julie and Carol at Carnegie Hall,” CBS took notice of this emerging new talent and signed her to a 10-year contract. On September 11, 1967, “The Carol Burnett Show” premiered on CBS. With a talented ensemble featuring Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner, costumes by Bob Mackie and music by Buz Kohan and Ken and Mitzie Welch, the show became a hit. Guest stars included many of the greatest performers from music, stage and screen including Lucille Ball, Lana Turner, Rita Hayworth, Jimmy Stewart, Gloria Swanson, Ronald Reagan, Betty White, Cher, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Jim Nabors, Liza Minnelli, The Carpenters, Rock Hudson, Dick Van Dyke, Alan Alda, and many, many more. Carol’s portrayal of Starlet O’Hara in “Went WithThe Wind,” a parody of “Gone With The Wind,” is always counted among the top 10 greatest moments in television history. The “curtain-rod” dress, as it is known, now resides at The Smithsonian.
After the show concluded in 1978, Carol immersed herself in numerous projects. Her film projects included playing Miss Hannigan in the film version of the musical, “Annie,” directed by John Huston, “Noises Off,” directed by Peter Bogdanovich, “A Wedding,” directed by Robert Altman, and “Four Seasons,” directed by Alan Alda. She starred in the television series “Fresno” and “Carol & Co.” as well as the highly acclaimed made-for-TV movies “Friendly Fire” and “Life of the Party: The Story of Beatrice.” Carol has also produced and starred in numerous television specials. In 2005, she returned to her Once Upon A Mattress roots, appearing in a television special, this time playing the evil Queen Aggravain. Her Broadway credits include Fade Out, Fade In, book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green with music by Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim's musical review Putting It Together and Ken Ludwig’s farce Moon Over Buffalo starring with Philip Bosco.
When not performing or occasionally touring the country in her Q & A format "Laughter & Reflection," she enjoys spending time with her husband Brian, her two daughters Erin and Jody, and her grandsons. As a passionate supporter of the arts and education, she has also established several scholarships around the country, including “The Carol Burnett Musical Theatre Competition” at her alma mater, UCLA.
