This booklet is to help you to prepare for the Listening exam for GCSE Music. It is worth 40% of your course. You can search for each of the pieces on Youtube / Spotify for free. Listen to each of the pieces in the table. Use plain paper to make comments on each of the pieces. For each piece, you should comment on the: Dynamics Rhythm Structure Metre Melody Instrumentation Tonality Texture Harmony You can use the knowledge organiser to help you make comments on each piece.
Component 3: Appraising (40% of your course)
This is a 1 hour 15 minute exam.
There are 8 questions in total, two on each of the four areas of study.
