THE YOU ARE NOT ALONE PROGRAM (YANA) This FREE service allows adults (older or disabled) to find comfort and security knowing that someone will be checking in on them with a telephone call on a daily basis. If the applicant only wants to receive calls once or twice a week, we can accommodate that request too. Our volunteers conduct daily phone call to adults (senior or disabled or couples) that are living alone in their home If the volunteer is unable to make telephone contact with the individual during the arranged time to call, three more phone call attempts are conducted. If after the third phone call attempt and the individual still does not answer the phone, a neighbor or friend that the individual has identified on their application is contacted and is asked to go over to the individual’s home to check on them. In the event that the neighbor or friend does not make contact with the indi- vidual, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department is dispatched to the indi- vidual’s home to conduct a welfare check. This free program has been credited to saving lives and is the only program like it in the Northern California area. The enrollment process is easy and takes no more than 5 minutes. For more information please call Star Walker at (530)621-6255 or e-mail her at [email protected].

COFFEE AND DOUGHNUT HOSPITALITY MINISTRY Did you know? The Coffee and Doughnut Hospitality Ministry, held year 'round after the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Masses on the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th weekends of the month, serves two purposes! #1: It brings parishioners together so that we can get to know one another in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. #2: Proceeds are donated to the High School Faith Works group and Religious Education to support faith-filled lessons and activities for the children and youth of our parish. Come join the FUN! Please consider if you can serve as a shift host. The doughnuts and coffee are provided - individuals and families are simply needed to replenish them, greet people as they arrive and help with set up / clean up duties. Contact Denise Davidson (530.295.7174) to sign up for the weekend Mass that works best for you. Thank you for your support !!

NAMES ON THE BULLETIN SICK LIST If you see a name that needs to be removed from the sick list, please contact the Parish Office at 530.622.0373. Thank you!

CEMETERY VOLUNTEER Do you have a few hours to spare for a worth while cause? If you are available for a few hours on Wednesday mornings, either weekly or once or twice a month, you may want to consider assisting our maintenance men at our Catholic Cemetery. This volunteer position would entail helping our employees by removing the flowers and setting them back in place after the lawn is mowed. The process does involve bending and stretching. If you choose to accept this mission it will keep you hopping for a few hours but the rewards are obvious when families come to visit the cemetery.

GOLDEN AGE POTLUCK The next Golden Age meeting and luncheon is Thursday, April 7, 2016 at noon in Gurnell Hall. Members are reminded to bring: A - H Dessert I - O Main Dish P - Z Salad

Come to enjoy the fun and fellowship! Everyone is welcome!

Questions, please call Rebecca at 530.306.9334.
