Activate: Games for Learning American English Game 9: Have You Ever…? Oh, When? Have You Ever…? Oh, When? gives students practice with common conversational moves by asking and telling about past experiences. The teacher may want to explain the use of the present perfect and the meaning of “ever” in “have you ever.” Instructions 1. Have students (the players) sit in groups of 3–4. 2. Determine who goes first and progress clockwise or counter-clockwise. 3. Each player rolls the dice in turn. 4. On their turns, the players move their game pieces along the path according to the number of spaces indicated by the dice. 5. On the space where they land, the players read the question aloud. 6. The players respond to their question. If the answer is “yes,” players should say the last time they did the activity. THE YALE LAW JOURNAL FORUM JUNE 30, 2021 Reckoning with Race and Disability Jasmine E. Harris abstract. Our national reckoning with race and inequality must include disability. Race and disability have a complicated but interconnected history. Yet discussions of our most salient socio- political issues such as police violence, prison abolition, healthcare, poverty, and education con- tinue to treat race and disability as distinct, largely biologically based distinctions justifying differ- ential treatment in law and policy. This approach has ignored the ways in which states have relied on disability as a tool of subordination, leading to the invisibility of disabled people of color in civil rights movements and an incomplete theoretical and remedial framework for contemporary justice initiatives. -

Patients are stunned at their diagnosis and do not know where to turn and carepartners feel powerless and unqualified in their efforts to comfort and provide care for their loved ones. We here at CurePSP are sensitive to these circumstances and over the years have developed programs and support networks to assist you. The materials we have available to you from the onset of the disease through its course can be obtained by simply calling our office. We have more than 50 support groups nationwide where patients and carepartners meet once a month to discuss their issues and ease their burden. These support groups are led by well-trained facilitators, some of whom have had a personal experience with one of the diseases. -

A fabulous free week of presentations and workshops for teachers, technicians and PGCE students with opportunities to network with colleagues. We will offer workshops shows and presentations between 1.30pm and 3pm each afternoon and 4pm until 8pm each evening Monday – Friday, as well as a quiz, a trek and workshops at an Alpaca Farm in the Brecon Beacons on Saturday morning (10:30am – 3.30pm), an opportunity to discuss the relationship between Physics and faith, networking opportunities with colleagues from Ireland and New Zealand – and a virtual tour of Penderyn Whisky Distillery in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Please join us for a full week of workshops and inspiring lectures, which include: ‘Materials in Action’ (Dr Diane Aston, IOM3); ‘The Digital Century’ (Professor Neil Stansfield, National Physical Laboratory); ‘From cat skin to submarines – soft materials that are a bit of a stretch’ (Professor Helen F Gleeson, Leeds University) and ‘From Deep Space to Deep Impact: bringing the solar system down to Earth’ (Professor Paul Roche, Cardiff University). Workshops will include: ‘Keeping up the Momentum’; ’Physics, weather and forecasting’; ‘Tones, Tines and Tings’ and ‘What alpacas and other animals can teach us about Physics’. POLICY GUIDELINES The facility promotes that residents with disabilities and physical limitations have access to devices that improve their independence. Motorized mobility aids may improve access to the facility and services. In order to provide a safe environment for residents, employees, and visitors, the facility maintains a policy for use of motorized mobility aids, whether they are wheelchairs, carts, or scooters. Orientation for safe use of motorized mobility aids augments safety for the resident using these devices as well as other residents, visitors, and employees. Routine inspection of motorized mobility aids promotes the maintenance of equipment that remains in good working order. II. DEFINITION A motorized mobility aid or device is a wheelchair, cart, or scooter that serves as an assistive device to allow an individual to be more independent and/or enables an individual to accomplish a task. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II, Part 35, Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability in State and Local Government Services, Use of other power-driven mobility devices: A public entity shall make reasonable modifications in its policies, practices, or procedures to permit the use of other power-driven mobility devices by individuals with mobility disabilities, unless the public entity can demonstrate that the class of other power-driven mobility devices cannot be operated in accordance with legitimate safety requirements that the public entity has adopted pursuant to § 35.130(h). -
