History In the Vialade family, the father’s branch was coming from Spanish Catalunya. Tortora Vinos shows a return to the Spanish origins of the family with a winemaking knowledge dating from generations.

Origin Originally from the Ribera delDuero region, the Verdejo has found its second best terroir in La Mancha. With its late maturity, the Verdejo enjoy in La Mancha, lot of sun, cool nights that it needs for an exceptional aromatic development.

Geography Catalunya is limited north by the French boarder, south by Taragana. This wine is coming from vineyards on the high slopes of Catalunya in the land. The hot Mediterranean climate is tempered by the altitude.

Grapes Variety 100 % Verdejo

Wine making and ageing Night picking, skin maceration and careful cold juice racking brings the best aromatic potential of the grapes. After yeasting, the fermentation are controlled at low temperature (14-16°C). After the fermentation a month on the lees brings some raidness to this wine.

Tasting and Food pairing Nice pale yellow color with green hues. On the nose the wine develop characteristic aromas of grapefruit, passion fruit and goyaba. On the palate the wine is fresh with a good rraudness, nots of peach, ripe pineapple and barbadine. The wine can be appreciated on its own at 10-12°C or with mix salads, seafood and fish.
