2005-2010. (With Derrik Tollefson, Principal Investigator) Sub-contractor to the University of Utah on five-year DHHS Child Welfare Training Grant that trains students in a specific child welfare curriculum for two years. Students receive a $7200 stipend each year for two years and commit to work for DCFS for two years after graduation. $500,000 over 5 years, 75% to student stipends.

2005-2008. Selected participant in CSWE Gero-Ed Center Curriculum Development Institute (CDI). Competitive three-year national initiative to enhance/infuse gerontological content throughout the curriculum funded by John Hartford Foundation. (With Derek Mason)

Utah Division of Aging and Adult Services contract to survey the medical and social needs of Utah’s older population. February 2000 through July 2002. Funding approximately $107,000. Principal Investigators: Derek Mason, Terry Peak, Richard Krannich. One graduate student, Mike Sanderson.

Curricular Enhancement Grant for multimedia course enhancements awarded to Social Work Program Faculty (Mason, Peak, Calloway-Graham, Dawson) from the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Utah State University. Grant in the amount of $2,000 to be matched by $1,000 from the Sociology Department and $1,000 from the Social Work Program.

Recipient of USU Faculty Research Grant for 1995-96 (extended through 1996-97) "The Family Education and Support Program," Project No. HA 95641, ($13,846). A pilot study of a combination education and support program offered to family members of residents at a nursing home to assess whether (1) more frequent and higher quality visits by participating family members, could (2) reduce and improve the period of adjustment to the nursing home for both residents and their participating family members. Provided research opportunities for two undergraduate social work majors.

USU Women and Gender Research Institute (WGRI) research grant of $500. Matching money Peak - page 8 to attend The World Congress of Gerontology in Adelaide, , August 1997.
