Dear parents and carers What a wonderful start to our Healthy Living Week! Yesterday the children started the day by joining in ‘Wake Up and Shake Dates for your diary… Up’ or doing their Daily Run. This was followed by a Hip Hop Dance Workshop which they all thoroughly enjoyed! Year 6 3rd – 7th June: Healthy children also took part in Bikeability which is a brilliant Living Week programme giving them the skills and confidence to cycle safely 7th June: School Games to school. Years 5 and 6 also had coaching with Chance to Day Shine – what a start!! 13th June: Year 2 The rest of the week is also packed with activities culminating in extended day trip to Hill our School Games Sports’ Day on Friday. The current weather End forecast is not looking great for Friday but we will keep a close th eye on it and if necessary will move Sports’ Day to Friday 21st 28 June: Summer Arts’ Festival June. Shed Finally, Mrs Coggins will be retiring in July. Mrs 11th July Year 2 Ultra Olympics @ Coggins has been at since 1994 and has Henry Box School dedicated much time and energy to the school. THE GRUFFALO COMES TO BURFORD

On the 17th June the wonderful Julia Donaldson will be visiting Burford as part of her Independent Book Week tour.

As we expect this is going to be a very well attended event, we will be holding it in the New Warwick Hall from 4 – 6 p.m – there will be 4 x 30 minute time slots and 25 tickets allocated to each slot.

Tickets are free and are limited to one per family - please contact the shop in advance to reserve your place (Ticket admits 2 adults and up to 6 children). She is also hoping to bring a very dear friend with her - The Gruffalo of course!
