YEAR 7 CHRISTMAS FAYRE

On Friday 1st December the Year 7 students and tutors came together to kick off the festive season in style, with our annual Christmas Fayre. This was the culmination of the hard work that began with our second Personal Development Day of the year. The two weeks between the Personal Development Day and the Christmas Fayre saw the Year 7 tutor rooms become hives of glittery activity, as our students prepared for the big night. The students were also tasked with selling as many raffle tickets as possible in advance of the Fayre, something that they excelled at, selling over 2,000 tickets between them and raising £316 from ticket sales alone.

When our doors opened on the evening, it was lovely to see our students putting their team work and customer service skills into action. We were lucky to have so many friends and family visit us, and even a special guest appearance from Santa himself! It was wonderful to be able to show our students off to the community and demonstrate what they can achieve when they work together. Thanks to the generosity of our customers and the hard work of our Year 7 students, we raised a total of £1,108 which will go towards covering the cost of the St Briavels residential in the summer term. The House Leaders and Year 7 tutors would once Despite being a smaller year group they managed again like to thank and congratulate Year 7 on to raise almost exactly the same amount as we did being such a fantastic year group to work with.
