PROCESS Hand-harvested fruit is carefully sorted and pressed before fermentation. After a careful vinification in stainless steel, the wine is aged for a period of 4 months on its lees.
TASTING The lees aging brings complex beauty to a palate of refreshing citrus elements, tropical fruit weight, and floral extracts. This personifies D.O. Overview : Empordà wines, infusing the rugged coastal Under Vine : 1,826 ha (4,512 ac) influence in every sip.
Vineyard Elevation Range : 130-250 m (426-820 ft) WINERY Tocat De L’ala is the combined effort of wineries Climate : Mediterranean, with influences from the moisture bearing winds from the Coca i Fitó and Roig Parals; they joined forces to south and cold winds from the north make quality-driven wines that channel the terroir of Empordà in every sip. Old vine Soil Types : Sand, slate, decomposed granite Grenache and Carignan, with a dash of Syrah, are the main protagonists in these wines; their Primary Red : White Grenache, Macabeu, Muscat, Muscat d'Alexandria, character is shaped by the flint and slate-based Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Malvasia, soils of the region. The vineyards are tended Piquepoul, Sauvignon Blanc, and Xarel·lo using sustainable farming methods and the wines Primary White : Garnacha blanca, provide a lovely amiability with their fresh fruit Parellada, Macabeo, Moscatel, Chardonnay and mineral-focused palates.
