We offer wines from the following Spanish appellations: Rías Baixas, Ribei- ra Sacra, Cava, Priorat, Montsant, Penedès, Terra Alta and Empordà. We also collaborate with cellars from the principle wine regions of Spain such d.O. Empordà tocat as , , and Bierzo, among others.

I believe that the wines you find within this dossier are all excellent exam- ples of “real” wines, from coast to coast.

Tolo do Xisto, or “Crazy about Slate”, describes the passion Andrea Obenza has for the incredibly steep that bank the river Sil in the Ribeira Sacra. Here you find old Mencía bush vines seemingly clin- ging precariously to the slate slopes. To in these conditions you have to be a bit nuts, but once you’ve tried these lively, wonderfully aromatic wines, you’ll be glad she does.

Jou Escoda was born and still lives in the tiny town of Vilella Alta, in the heart of the Priorat. He tends his old family vines they way his family has always done – with care and minimal intervention. Emili Mayo knew he could do something beautiful with Jou’s treasure . Toni and Miquel, who grew up in vineyards, star- ted making their own wines in 2006 after years of working for other cellars. Toni makes vibrant and well-defined wines, while Miquel knows how to run a cellar. This is a dynamic duo that has grown an excellent reputation based on their outstanding performance.
