OTA has also been classified as a possible carcinogen for humans (group 2B) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Therefore, exposure to OTA through contaminated food can represent health impairment to humans. The maximum permitted level for this mycotoxin in wine is 2.0 g/L. The presence of OTA in Spanish wines produced using the traditional methods under the Denomination of Origin “Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and manzanilla Sanlúcar de Barrameda” was evaluated by a High performance Liquid Chromatography method with fluorescence detection and immunoaffinity column purification. A recovery of 95.4% and a limit of detection and quantification of 0.009 g/L and 0.02 g/L respectively, were achieved.

Two territories of similar extension and with historical coincidences in their development have been selected: the Okanagan Valley, Canada, and the region of Somontano, Spain. Methodologically, an analysis of the content on Twitter has been performed, collecting 1377 tweets. The conclusion is that wineries create sentimental and experiential links with the users, avoiding commercial communications. Specifically, Okanagan wineries establish a relevant conversation network on Twitter based on the high percentage of responses, which is 31.3%, but this is not so in the case of Somontano, which is 12.8%. The tourist attractions most used to create a bond are the wine landscape and the gastronomy in the case of both territories. The tourism sustainability variable remains a minor matter in the emission of messages on Twitter. Keywords: social network analysis; sustainable tourism; web 2.0; enotourism; Twitter; Somontano wines; Okanagan Valley wines; wines of British Columbia 1.

BODEGAS NIDIA D.O. RUEDA Bodegas Nidia ABOUT D.O. RUEDA The Denomination of Origin Rueda was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture on January 12, 1980; it was the first Denomination of Origin to be approved in the Region of Castilla y León, after years of hard work in order to earn acknowledgement and protection for its autochthonous grape variety: the Verdejo. This D.O. falls within the influence of the river Duero and is situated on a high plateau of gentle hills. Made up of 72 districts located in the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila. The D.O. Rueda stands 700 to 800 metres above sea-level, and consists of flat highlands, with very long, cold winters, short springs with late frosts, and dry, hot summers, only altered by untimely storms. The area has alluvial and flood terraces on the banks of the river Duero. Drk grey-brown soils, rich in calcium and magnesium, stony but easy to farm, with good ventilation and draining, and limestone outcrops on the hilltops. Permeable and healthy, their texture varies from sandy-loamy to loamy. B O U T I Q U E W I N E S www.spanisboutiquewines.com - [email protected] Bodegas Nidia The Denomination of Origin Rueda is one of the few European winegrowing regions specialised in making white wine and in the preservation and development of the Verdejo , the autochthonous grape variety. Rueda wines are marked by the strong personality of the Verdejo grape but other varieties have been incorporated: Sauvignon Blac, Viura y Palomino Fino.
