New at Vienna Airport: airBaltic offers flight service effective immediately from Vienna to

Starting yesterday, , 2015, airBaltic has launched flight service from Vienna Airport o Tallinn. The Latvian is connecting the capital cities of and four times per week.

“We are delighted to be able to announce flight service linking Vienna and Tallinn, our fourth direct connection from Tallinn which we are operating in cooperation with Austrian . This new route will further strengthen the flight connections between European and Baltic cities as well as the importance of airBaltic as an airline of the Baltic region”, says Christophe Viatte, CCO of airBaltic on the occasion of the initial flight on this new route.

“Estonia is an attractive region and Tallinn, the former European Capital of Culture, offers a diverse range of cultural highlights for interested travelers. This new flight connection further expands the touristic offering from Vienna and strengthens the hub Vienna Airport.”, states Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen AG.

A Bombardier Q400 NextGen will be deployed on this route. The aircraft will leave Tallinn at 5:40 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and land in Vienna at 7:35 p.m. The return flight will depart from Vienna at 8:35 p.m. and arrive in Tallinn at 0:25 a.m. on the following day. The airplane will take off from Tallinn on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6:25 a.m. and land in Vienna at 8:20 a.m., whereas the return flight from Vienna will take off at 10:40 and arrive at 2:30 p.m. in Tallinn. airBaltic was founded in 1995 and currently operates a fleet of 25 aircraft which fly from to 60 destinations around the world. In addition, the Latvian airline also serves other destinations from Tallinn, and in the near future from Heringsdorf. Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is a popular tourist destination thanks to its historic city center and numerous medieval buildings.
