USING THE NEEDLE EXCHANGE This confidential service is provided at the pharmacies listed overleaf. Different packs of needles are available for different types of injecting. Ask the pharmacist for information and confidential advice (e.g. use of equipment, safer injecting, wounds and injuries). Each pack contains one sharps disposal container to store your used needles safely until you can return them to the exchange.

DISPOSE YOUR NEEDLES RESPONSIBLY Return your used needles in the container provided to the nearest needle exchange pharmacy. Leaving used needles around can put other people at risk (e.g. injuries and infections) and causes anger and fear in the community.

Injecting any drug carries a risk of infection, injury and overdose. If you do inject you need to take care of your veins and protect your health. Treatment services can help you to reduce the risk of infection and injury from injecting. East Riding Partnership OPEN ACCESS service offers regular drop-in sessions with a specialist drug worker without having to make an appointment.
