The student residences are centrally positioned in Ås and on the university campus. They are located in quiet, well-established areas within walking distance of local shops, banks, post-office, public-transport etc. The rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, chair, reading lamp, cupboard, easy chair, small table and bookshelves.

Six rooms together make up a flat with shared kitchen, living room, shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, refrigerator, freezer, sink and pantry. You must provide your own cooking equipment (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery etc.) as well as bedding (blankets or duvet, pillow, sheets, pillowcases and towels).

ABOUT Ås Ås is a small city with a growing, mostly urban population; Ski is the closest larger city. Ås is a municipality in the county of Akershus, which has the second largest population after Oslo. Akershus borders , , , Oslo, Østfold and . The county is named after . Akershus is parted in two different areas east and west of Oslo. The small area in the west includes the districts of and Bærum. The vast part is east of the city, consisting of the landscapes Follo in southwest and in north and east. Akershus includes some of the lake Mjøsa and some of the river . Embracing numerous suburbs of Oslo, Akershus is one of the most densely populated areas in the country.
