May.2006 Ethnic diversity and entrepreneurship Oslo and Drammen 1 SUMMARY This report presents the findings from case studies in two Norwegian cities, Drammen and Oslo. The projects in Oslo and Drammen were commissioned to explore the situation with regard to immigrant participation in business and the labour market and contribution to economic development with particular attention to the multi – ethnic dimension. The cities of Oslo and Drammen have experienced a relatively long period of sustained growth in their immigrant populations. Early inward labour migration required relatively little in terms of public response. With continued growth in the immigrant population it has been recognized that there is a need for a shift from a perspective with a strong social policy emphasis to emphasis on the need to enable immigrants to participate in the Norwegian labour market, working life and in civil society. It is increasingly being recognized that diversity based on national, ethnic or other background in itself may represent a resource and a potential for innovation, entrepreneurship and growth.     Byvekstavtale mellom Oslo kommune, Viken fylkeskommune, Bærum kommune, Lillestrøm kommune, Nordre Follo kommune og Staten v/Samferdselsdepartementet og Kommunal- og moderniseringsdepartementet Bakgrunn og formål Det er framforhandlet en byvekstavtale mellom staten, Oslo kommune, daværende Akershus fylkeskommune og kommunene Bærum, daværende Skedsmo og daværende Oppegård, jf vedlegg datert 26.06.2019. Den framforhandlede byvekstavtalen legger til grunn et nullvekstmål om at veksten i persontransporten skal tas med kollektivtransport, sykkel og gange. Byvekstavtalen er et virkemiddel for å nå dette målet. Byvekstavtalen skal også bidra til mer effektiv arealbruk og mer attraktive by- og tettstedssentre.     Byvekstavtale Oslo og Akershus 26.06.19 Byvekstavtale mellom Oslo kommune, Bærum kommune, Skedsmo kommune, Oppegård kommune, Akershus fylkeskommune og Staten 2019 – 2029 Samferdselsdepartementet, Oslo kommune og Akershus fylkeskommune inngikk 13. juni 2017 en bymiljøavtale som skal legge til rette for at veksten i persontransporten i Oslo og Akershus skal tas med kollektivtrafikk, sykkel og gange. Avtalen var basert på Nasjonal transportplan (NTP) 2014-2023 og revidert avtale for Oslopakke 3 og beskriver oppgavedeling og ansvar for finansiering av tiltak mellom aktørene. Arealdelen av bymiljøavtalen ble nærmere konkretisert i en byutviklingsavtale som ble inngått mellom Kommunal- og moderniseringsdepartementet, Oslo kommune og Akershus fylkeskommune 29. september 2017. Her ble Regional Plan for areal og transport i Oslo og Akershus (RP-ATP), vedtatt 2015, lagt til grunn. Bymiljøavtalen og byutviklingsavtalen er nå reforhandlet til en felles byvekstavtale, basert på NTP 2018-2029, revidert avtale Oslopakke 3 for 2017-2036 og RP-ATP. Denne byvekstavtalen er inngått mellom Staten ved Samferdselsdepartementet og Kommunal- og moderniseringsdepartementet, Oslo kommune, Bærum kommune, Skedsmo kommune, Oppegård kommune og Akershus fylkeskommune, for perioden 2019-2029. Avtalen er et samarbeid mellom staten, fylkeskommunen og kommunene, der alle partene bidrar innenfor sine ansvarsområder. Avtalen er geografisk avgrenset til Oslo kommune og Akershus fylke. 1. Mål Overordnet mål Det overordnede målet for byvekstavtalen er nullvekstmålet, det vil si å sikre at veksten i persontransport tas med kollektivtransport, sykling og gange. Løsningene som velges må bidra til å sikre bedre framkommelighet totalt sett, spesielt ved å tilrettelegge for attraktive alternativer til privatbil. Befolkningsveksten i Oslo og Akershus utgjør rundt halvdelen av befolkningsveksten nasjonalt.

    PRESS RELEASE 23 APRIL 2020 Ruter and the Municipality of Bærum sign micromobility contract with TIER TIER has been confirmed as the new supplier of micromobility solutions for the Municipality of Bærum. The municipality’s bike hire scheme will now be expanding to include electric scooters and electric bicycles. Ruter, the Public Transport Authority of Oslo and the former Akershus region, has entered into a public-public collaboration with the Municipality of Bærum. The purpose of the collaboration is to establish a wide range of mobility services for Bærum. The procurement process has now been concluded, with TIER GmbH being selected as the municipality’s supplier of micromobility solutions. – This will be the first time Ruter integrates micromobility solutions into our existing public transport system. Our collaboration with the municipality is working very well, and we believe this is going to be an important step towards the future of mobility services," says Endre Angelvik, director of mobility services at Ruter. The partnership’s plan is to integrate shared e-bikes and e-scooters into the existing public transport system – first in Lysaker, Sandvika and Fornebu in 2020, then in other parts of the municipality during springtime next year. Ruter and the municipality of Bærum intend for the new micromobility scheme to become a valuable and safe addition to the environments where they are introduced. To this end, the partnership will aim to keep in close touch with the municipality’s general population, for purposes of receiving feedback and making adjustments. Formally, the purpose of the contract is to develop a scheme that • complements existing public transport services by allowing travellers seamless movement from transport hubs all the way to their final destination • provides the aforementioned scheme to the city's inhabitants, visitors, businesses and municipal employees – Bærum is on the way towards becoming a climate-smart municipality.

The other part served as 4 a moat outside the northern curtain wall. The stream originally came from the 3 area around Christiania Square and ran through this pond and down to Munk’s Pond. The Carp Pond was filled in after the mid-19th century, but recreated in the 1960s. Formålet FORMÅL med undersøkelsen er å kartlegge befolkningen i Buskerudbyens kjennskap og holdninger til tema knyttet til reisevaner, miljø og byutvikling. DATAINNSAMLINGSMETODE CATI; telefonintervju ANTALL INTERVJUER Det er gjennomført totalt ca. 2500 telefonintervju med befolkningen over 15 år i Buskerudbyen. DATO FOR GJENNOMFØRING Feltarbeidet ble gjennomført i løpet av uke 4-7 (25.januar – 18.februar) Det ble gjennomført en pretest av undersøkelsen ved å foreta 42 testintervju for å sikre stabilitet i spørreskjemaet og KVALITETSSIKRING kvaliteten i datainnsamlingen. Undersøkelsen er gjennomført iht. Norsk Markedsanalyse Forenings etiske regler. Utvalget er kvotert til ca. 500 intervju per medlemskommune i Buskerudbyen; UTVALG - Lier, Drammen, Nedre Eiker og Øvre Eiker, og Kongsberg. Utvalget er trukket tilfeldig på husstandenes fasttelefon og mobiltelefon. Årets resultat er i rapporten gjennomgående sammenlignet med resultat fra Buskerudbyens SAMMENLIGNING AV RESULTAT befolkningsundersøkelsen gjennomført av Epinion Norge i januar/februar 2013 og oktober 2014. I rapporten aggregert for Buskerudbyen er alle resultatene i etterkant av datainnsamlingen vektet på kjønn, alder og geografi i henhold til befolkningsstrukturen i det totale nedslagsområdet. Dette for at undersøkelsen i sin helhet skal være representativ for det totale nedslagsområdet til Buskerudbyen. Resultatene fra Drammen har da en sterkere vekt VEKTING i totalen enn hva resultatene fra Lier har, fordi det bor flere mennesker i Drammen enn i Lier. I de kommunale rapportene som overleveres per kommune er resultatene i etterkant av datainnsamlingen vektet på kjønn, alder i henhold til befolkningsstrukturen i den aktuelle kommunen.

    Population dynamics and ethnic geographies in Oslo: the impact of migration and natural demographic change on ethnic composition and segregation Terje Wessel1 , Lena Magnusson Turner2 and Viggo Nordvik2 Abstract This paper explores demographic processes behind ethnic geographies in Oslo. We compare data for census tracts in 2001 and 2011, and decompose ethnic composition and segregation on local mobility, national migration, international migration and natural demographic change. The study comprises five national groups: Poles, Somalis, Sri Lankans, Iraqis and Pakistanis, plus aggregates for Nordic and non-Nordic residents. A key observation is that local mobility weakens the status of original settlements without a corresponding effect on levels of ethnic segregation. For several groups, local mobility increases both own-group exposure and separation from the Nordic majority. International migration, in contrast, increases spatial integration between Nordic and non-Nordic residents. Natural change accords with our expectation and strengthens both minority representation in established eastern settlements and ethnic segregation in Oslo at large. Certain features of the Oslo context, e.g. lack of multi-ethic experiences, domination of owner-occupied dwellings and redistributive policies, may explain the surprising results.
