An access card will be issued against a 30€ deposit. Bicycles: Bike parks are located on the north and south parking lots of the Robertsau campus. You will also find a covered and locked bike shelter on the Agapanthes’s parking . We recommend you use a hardened-steel chain bike lock to lock your bike. Be respectful of green areas (no bikes on lawns or leaned against bushes). A bike centre is located on the ground floor of Building 1A, where tools are available for you to use in repairing your bike (you must leave your room key as a deposit to access the bike centre). first aid and emergency services There is a first aid kit, a defibrillator and a list of doctors in the vicinity at the central office (“accueil”) of Building 1. The staff will be able to provide directions to emergency services and will alert the administrator’s office if necessary. laundry facilities Building 2 has a laundry room equipped with several washers and dryers which operate with the pass Izly (the same card as that used for the university dining halls, “Restos U”) or an European credit card. A specific space is dedicated to ironing (an iron is available). Another laundry room is located on the ground floor of the residence Les Agapanthes. trash bins / recylcing bins Residents are responsible for separating their trash and recycling. - BLUE bins (non-recyclable trash and garbage) and YELLOW bins (paper, cardboard and plas- tic) are located behind Building 2 on the Rue Silberath-side parking lot and on the Rue Schott-side parking lot. A composting bin and a glass recycling bin are located on the Rue Schott side of the parking lot. Repairs Applicable rates will be charged for repairs and other work done by technicians in dorm rooms (repla- cing lightbulbs, unclogging drains, etc). receiving mail Your new personal postal address should be written as follows:

Mail is distributed to rooms daily on weekdays as from 1:00 pm (except for Building D where mail to residents of studios is delivered to their letterboxes). On Saturdays you may pick up your mail at the main office (Building 1) during the afternoon. NOTE: Packages and parcels cannot be accepted by campus staff. A delivery notice will be left for you. security To ensure security in campus buildings and to prevent intrusions or theft, lock the outside entrance door . Access and visitor controls may take place during the day as well as at night. Be sure you do not to leave your key in the door (on the inside or the outside). If your key is lost or stolen, your lock will automatically be changed,requiring an advance payment of 80€, which will be reimbursed if your key is found/returned within a week. ou will be charged for service calls and labour if you lose your key or lock yourself out: hourly fee 50€ + travel fee of a CROUS agent 50€. If you choose to call an outside locksmith services, you have to mention that the locks are called “tulipe” or “à l’américaine”. Do not obstruct smoke detectors in any way (fire hazard). Turn off lights and water faucets and close when you leave your room. Guests are not allowed to stay beyond 11:00 pm. internet Wireless/wired internet access: Ask the administrative office staff for information when you register. bedding A bedding kit including a sheet, a blanket and a pillow case is provided upon request when you arrive (7.50 € per month or 50 € per year). businesses nearby 3 supermarkets nearby (U Express and COOP on Rue Boecklin, MATCH on Route de la Wantze- nau, 1 km away) /tobacco shop / Banks / Post Office / Hairdresser /...on Rue Boec- klin. sports and cultural activities Television room: mezzanine in Building 3 A cafeteria which sells drinks, sandwiches and snacks is located in Building 2. The big-screen TV can be used until 11pm. Wireless internet access. Performing arts hall: fully renovated in anticipation of any cultural events you may wish to organise (music, dance, theater, etc). Media Resource Centre: Building 2 – Books – DVD/CD - Comic books - and magazines - to be consulted on site. The “DNA” (local newspaper) is available at the front desk. Building 2 - can be used for group meals (maximum of 12 people) until midnight.

Equipped kitchen: housing contacts and useful information Make reservations with the main office. A 50€ security deposit is required.BE CAREFUL not to disturb other residents! Be sure to clean the facilities when you are finished. Ping-pong tables: Building 3 lobby. Rackets available at the main office. Closes at 10:00 pm. Game room: Building 2A ground floor - billiards and table football.
