It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete application packet. Only completed applications will be accepted.
Wings Ivy Leadership Awards Information
The purpose of the Wings Community Assistance program is to provide support for the enrichment of talents and gifts of individuals of the local community via two awards: two outstanding youths, grades 6th - 11th. The awards are one- time distributions of monetary support for individuals grades 6th -11th to develop their cultural, educational, and leadership skills.
Within 30 days of completion of the activity, the Mu Omega Omega Scholarship Committee, request a half page update of how the activity positively impacted the student. If available, please include high quality clear photos, which support the activity. Photographs that include children MUST have parental consents on file. (The update, pictures and parental consent can be emailed to the committee).
Two $250 Wings Ivy Leadership Awards will be granted to two outstanding youths, grades 6th - 11th.
Eligibility
The Wings Ivy Leadership Award will be granted to outstanding youth, grades 6 – 11, for the following activities: • Educational development opportunities (i.e. tutoring, advanced courses, space camp) • Leadership development (i.e. tuition for seminars, or development courses) • Cultural development (i.e. drama program)
Documentation Requirements
• All applications must be typed. • All applicants must submit one letter of recommendation and a one-page essay describing in detail what makes you stand out as a leader in your school and community.
Submission (electronically)
The application (see next page), one letter of recommendation and a one-page essay, must be submitted and postmarked no later than April 1, 2021. Applicants will be notified by mail of the decision by May 1, 2021. Send the complete packet to:
