Château de Chillon Optionnal visit on Saturday, July 9, 2016

Timing:

Opening hours: from 9:00 to 19:00 (last entry 18:00)

Meeting at around 14:15 at the Château of Chillon. Beginning of the visit at 14:20, which ends at around 16:25.

Tour of the castle with the audio guide during 1 or 2 hours.

Food: Students have to bring for their own food if necessary (water,snacks, …). There will be a possibility to buy food and drinks in Montreux afterwards though. It is not provided by the SU.

Transports:

Students should take the train in Lausanne (direction Villeneuve, voie 6) at 13:38; they arrive at 14:04 in Veytaux-Chillon. Then, they must walk 5 minutes to the castle.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE ID CARD OR PASSEPORT.

Montreux Jazz Festival off

Timing:

Start: 16h53, Veytaux-Chillon station (depending on Chateau de Chillon tour). Meeting at 16:30 in front of the castle.

End: Anytime after dinner-lunch at 19h30 / Later for those who want to stay for a drink

What & When

Starting at the Freddy Mercury statue, we will walk through the jazz festival and stop at its numerous stands where you will be able to buy anything imaginable whilst listening to open-air music.Those who feel like it can have a drink at one of the festival’s many funky bars or clubs.

Eating

Once we have gone round the festival, we will stop at the food stands to eat. The Montreux Jazz Festival offers a large variety of cuisine styles, it’s a great place to eat out for everybody.

However, finding somewhere to eat all together may be difficult due to the amount of people about but the Jazz always provides many table and benches to eat on. If possible, we will eat on the lake.
