How do you explain the attraction that Montreux Rivie- ra held for Hemingway, Nabokov, Sissi and so many ot- hers? Perhaps it’s the advantages of the microclimate, or the splendours of a lake that you cannot but admire, or the surrounding mountains, both impressive and re- assuring, or the sunsets that resemble the paintings of the masters…? On the sidelines of the 2019 Winegrowers Festival, a multitude of activities related to winestourism, culture and leisure are available. The „Fête des Vignerons“ is unique in its kind and takes place once per generation in Vevey, Switzerland. 1 The festival is organised by the ‘Confrérie des Vigne- rons’ since the 18th century and is a celebration of the WINEGROWERS’ regional traditions, shown with a play as well modern FESTIVAL as magnificent. Since st1 December 2016 it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and is a witness of the wi- negrower’s identity, their knowledge and the vineyards VEVEY of Lavaux (UNESCO) and Chablais Vaudois.

This will take place from July 18 – August 11, 2019.
