SPECIALTY BREADS When Harvey and Dulcie Marrable opened the doors of their first bakery, they never imagined that they would still be baking more than 60 years later!
Today they are very proud of the fact that Gold Coast Bakeries has remained an independent family-owned business and intend, with the help of their family, to keep it that way for many years to come.
During the history of Gold Coast Bakeries, many changes have taken place, for both the bakery and the marketplace. Through it all, however, the presence and involvement of the Marrable Family has remained a constant. Harvey is still involved in the workings of the bakery, working alongside the next two generations of baking Marrables. Their wide variety of bread products are now delivered to route trade stores and supermarkets from the south-east corner of Queensland to Northern New South Wales, from Lismore to the north of Noosa, seven days a week.
Gold Coast Bakeries now employ over 100 staff in their modern premises in Molendinar on Queensland’s Gold Coast. They also have 48 vendor distributors, three bulk driver contractors and nine sales representatives who deliver their fresh bread each day. Harvey and his family have always staunchly supported the Gold Coast region by helping out local schools, charities and community groups, and pride themselves on supporting local suppliers (rather than outsourcing or importing the necessary ingredients and services) to run the bakery. They use only the best ingredients available and take pride in preparing products that are healthy, wholesome, and tasty. SPECIALTY BREADS
Our large range of specialty breads are baked daily and available in a range of loaf sizes and slice options.
TURKISH BREAD Freshly baked traditional turkish bread available in plain and garlic.
BRIOCHE Freshly baked traditional brioche bread available in 900g loaves.
WHITE VIENNA Delicious white vienna available in 450g, 550g and 900g loaves. Slicing options: toast, 1 inch and unsliced.
WHOLEMEAL VIENNA Fresh wholemeal vienna available in 550g and 900g loaves. Slicing options: toast, 1 inch and unsliced.
RYE VIENNA 900g freshly baked rye vienna loaves available in seeded and unseeded varieties. Slicing options: sandwich sliced and unsliced. SPECIALTY BREADS
BAGUETTE & FRENCH STICK Freshly baked baguettes and french sticks. Our range: french stick, baguette, mini baguette and floured mini baguettes.
COB LOAF Delicious, fresh and crunchy cob loaves available in white, wholemeal and multigrain varieties.
CIABATTA Delicious ciabatta baked fresh daily. Our range: ciabatta, double ciabatta, mini ciabatta and ciabatta sticks.
DAMPER Traditional Aussie damper freshly baked in Queensland. Available in large and mini loaves.
PANINI Fresh panini loaves available in a long loaf or round wheel pre-cut into four triangles.
