Gin71 was founded in May 2014 by a team dedicated to great quality spirits and excellent customer service. Through our passion and dedication, we have created bars which aim to celebrate all aspects of .

Our bartenders work tirelessly to keep our sophisticated cocktail list up to date, curating classics from the annals of cocktail history and creating our own contemporary expressions.

These drinks are all created using the best spirits, and from all over the world to ensure the very best flavour.

While our focus has largely been on gin with its versatility and rich history in cocktail making, there are also plenty of other creative concoctions in here. Read on and discover a menu which features many of our own creations as well as some timeless classics. CREATIONS

9.0 DAIMYO Ki No Bi Gin • Szechuan & Lemongrass Syrup Lime Juice • Rice Mirin • Ume Shiso Bergamot Mist Inspired by Asian cuisine and named for ancient Japanese feudal lords; the Daimyo is sweet, aromatic and refreshingly sharp.

8.5 SUMMER BREEZE Nordes Gin • • White Jasmine Syrup • Orange Blossom This beautiful floral number balances the fresh bouquet of jasmine and orange blossom with the tropical notes from a Sauvignon Blanc.

8.5 LOW RIDER Tio Pepe Fino • Apricot St Germain • Rhubarb Syrup • Peach Bitters Lemon Tonic An easy-going, low-abv hi-ball. Great for summer drinking; sweet fruity flavours compliment the dryness of Fino Sherry.

9.0 BAJAN BREAKFAST Mount Gay Rum • Creme de Cacao Clayton’s • Demerara Syrup • Cold-Brew A delightful pick-me-up; golden Barbadian rum is accentuated by a Barbados staple, Clayton’s Kola Tonic. Finished with a shot of cold-brew co ee.

9.0 CRYSTAL BLUE PERSUASION Malfy Gin • Dolin Blanc • Sherbet Syrup Grapefruit Bitters Science meets magic in this mind-blowing creation. Watch as your crystal-clear drink is turned pink by blue ice! How!? A good magician never reveals their tricks...

9.0 JUAN FOR THE ROAD • Velvet • Lime Juice Orgeat • Egg White This smokey sour uses mezcal along with the tiki influences of a Bajan and almond syrup to create a cocktail fit for the Caribbean yet still packing a peaty punch. TWISTS

12.0 FRENCH 71 Arbikie Kirsty’s Gin • Rhubarb Syrup • Lemon Juice • Apple • Veuve Clicquot A favourite here at Gin71, so much so we gave it our number. This tangy interpretation features apple and rhubarb to compliment decadent Veuve Clicquot .

9.0 BLUEBERRY COLLINS Brockmans Gin • Gin Bothy Blueberry Lemon Juice • Sugar • Lemon Tonic Our post-modern take on the most classic of gin drinks. This version uses the natural sweetness of Gin Bothy Blueberry liqueur to accentuate the flavours in Brockman’s gin.

9.0 WHITE MARTINEZ Whitley Neill Blood Orange Gin • Audemus Pink Pepper Gin • Dolin Blanc • Luxardo Maraschino Orange Bitters • Peach Bitters This cocktail o ers all the complexity of the Martini with the clean punchiness of the Martinez.

9.5 400 RABBITS Peloton de la Muerte • Lemon Juice Agave Syrup • Ginger A on the penicillin cocktail, adapted to mezcal rather than . Named after the Aztec’s theory that the highest level of intoxication was ‘Drunk as 400 Rabbits’.

8.5 FRENCH MARTINQUE Rhum Argicole • Creme de Mure • Lime • Pineapple Juice The French Martini takes a Caribbean holiday; is traded in for Martiniquan rhum agricole, Chambord for decadent blackberry liqueur.

9.0 PAPE’ETE PUNCH Monkey Shoulder • 43 • Pimento Dram Apple & Cinnamon Syrup • Lime Juice Apple Juice • Angostura Bitters • Ginger Beer The whisky hi-ball gets a Tiki twist. We’ve used flavours from across the globe to highlight the notes in delicious blended Scotch. CLASSICS

8.5 BRAMBLE Brockmans Gin • Lemon Juice Sugar • Creme de Mure Dick Bradsell’s modern classic from the 80’s has become a firm favourite here at Gin71. Fresh, fruity and oh so pretty.

9.5 LAST WORD Kinrara Gin • Green Chartreuse Luxardo Maraschino • Lime Juice A prohibition-era classic, this is not a drink for the faint-hearted. Sharp, herbaceous, strong and complex.

9.0 SOUTHSIDE Arbikie Kirsty’s Gin • Lime Juice Sugar • Mint Leaves Allegedly Al Capone’s drink of choice, the Southside used mint, lime and sugar to mask the harsh taste of the mob’s illegal gin.

9.0 AVIATION Aviation Gin • Creme de Violette Maraschino • Lemon juice • Simple Syrup This pre-prohibition classic is a nod to the early days of flight; the blue-grey shade of the drink represents the awe and mystery of the stormy skies.

9.5 SHADDOCK Bobby’s Jenever • St Germain Elderflower Liqueur • Aperol • Lemon Juice A modern classic from the 21st Century; the Shaddock is greater than the sum of its parts and tastes of sweet pink grapefruit.

8.5 PALOMA • Pink Grapefruit Juice • Lime Juice Sugar • Soda Water • Mezcal Spritz Mexico’s favourite tequila cocktail has it all; fresh, sweet and sour with some heat from a chilli-salt rim. A must have for a summer’s day. 8.5 MINT JULEP Wild Turkey Rye • Demerara Syrup Angostura Bitters • Orange Bitters One of the oldest recorded , the Julep balances mint, sugar and bitters with peppery straight rye .

8.5 FRENCH SPRITZ St Germain Elderflower Liqueur • Suze Soda • Prosecco Similar to an Aperol Spritz, sweet elderflower liqueur is balanced with bitter gentian liqueur for a complex floral aperitif.

9.5 PERNELLE Vodka • St Germain Elderflower Liqueur Liqueur de Poire William • Lemon Juice • Soda A modern classic, named after the wife of Nicolas Flamel who helped him in his search for the philosopher’s stone.

8.5 HEMINGWAY DAIQUIRI Doorly’s Rum • Luxardo Maraschino Pink Grapefruit Juice • Lime Juice • Sugar Ernest Hemingway was a renowned drinker, and this was his go-to. A classic daiquiri but spiked with pink grapefruit juice and sweetened with maraschino.

RHUBARB & GINGER - Half Crown This gin liqueur from the Half Crown range boasts generous helpings of rhubarb and ginger notes. A timeless combination.

RASPBERRY - Gin Bothy A deliciously jammy Raspberry Liqueur, created by a bothy which did, in fact, originally produce jam!
