Prof Peter Worsley President Based in Reading, Berkshire, we are a friendly and University of Reading enthusiastic group for amateurs, professionals and all those interested in geology and earth sciences, who would like to discover more about the earth, its landscapes, rocks, minerals and fossils. We are like-minded individuals actively pursuing an interest in the various aspects of these subjects and offer a warm and informal welcome for all those interested in the natural world. We meet on the first working Monday of the month on the River Thames University of Reading campus when we have a lecture Goring Gap from a guest speaker who is normally a specialist in a particular field. There is the opportunity to enter into friendly discussions over a cup of coffee or tea. Our monthly field meetings provide an opportunity to travel around the UK with fellow enthusiasts. In June 2017, we celebrated in style at Rushall Manor Farm Barn with a tea party, a walk, displays, photo competion, quiz, old photos, toasts and CAKE!
We entertained 60 or so members, friends, old members, GA representatives and spent a great afternoon reminiscing and chatting…
