The Government has announced a further and final extension of the COVID-19 Local Support Grant for vulnerable families.

In Shropshire the funding will – amongst a range of measures – enable eligible children to receive free meals during the six-week school summer holidays. The council has supported families with food costs during the Christmas 2020 holidays, spring half-term, the Easter holidays and Whitsun half-term.

No action is required from parents as the allocation of funds will be provided through your child/rens schools and early years settings, as in the previous holiday periods.
