Shrewsbury has been named the second happiest place to live in the country and the UK’s healthiest town! Not surprising when we see what the city has to offer.

Shrewsbury is a small, historic and vibrant city in the heart of beautiful Shropshire. It has some wonderful historic buildings as well as great shopping, cafés, restaurants, bars and night-life. The main street and shopping centres contain all the key high-street stores but also Shrewsbury is famous for its large array of independent shops and a fantastic market hall. It is a culturally rich city with numerous music events and festivals taking place and a wonderful, modern theatre (Theatre Severn).

If you enjoy the countryside, rolling landscapes are just outside the city and the stunning – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – are just a short drive or train ride south of Shrewsbury. The Welsh hills and mountains of Snowdonia are also within easy reach.

Shrewsbury is extremely well-connected in terms of links to larger cities. and Manchester are easily accessible for a day-trip by direct train or by car. You can be in in little over 2 hours 30 by train and we are well-linked to the M6 and M5 via the M54.

We love living in this area, because Shrewsbury has so much to offer and everything you need, yet Manchester, Birmingham and are close for a day hustle and bustle in a big city. We also love walking and hiking so enjoy spending a day in the Shropshire Hills or heading into for some stunning landscapes. It is a very affordable part of the country so rental prices and house prices are reasonable and it is therefore easy to maintain a great lifestyle.

If you don’t know the area, feel free to come and visit us and spend a couple of days exploring!
