THE BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH (NEWTOWN ROAD AREA) (RESIDENTS PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES) (FIRST ZONE) (CONTROLLED ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2006

The Council of the Borough of Eastleigh (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with the Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby makes the following Order:-

Commencement and Citation

1. This Order shall come into operation on 12 May 2006 and may be cited as “The Borough Of Eastleigh (Newtown Road Area) (Residents Parking Places and Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (First Zone) (Controlled Zone) (Amendment No.2) Order 2006"

Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting

2. In this Order the Principle Order means The Borough Of Eastleigh (Newtown Road Area) (Residents Parking Places and Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (First Zone) (Controlled Zone) Order 2004

3. The Principle Order is hereby amended as follows:

(a) In the Second Schedule (Areas on Highway Designated as Parking Places with Permits) item number 20 shall be revoked and replaced with:

20. Mill Street North From a point 1 metre west of the western boundary of No. 25 Mill Street eastwards to the western boundary of No. 16 Mill Street.

20A. Mill Street North From a point 6.5 metres east of the western boundary of No. 16 Mill Street eastwards to the western boundary of No. 12 Mill Street.

(b) In the Second Schedule (Areas on Highway Designated as Parking Places with Permits) items numbered 38 and 43 (relating to The Crescent) shall be revoked and replaced with:

38. The Crescent Southwest From the south-eastern boundary of No. 59 The Crescent south-eastwards to a point 4.5 metres northwest of the south-eastern boundary of No. 49 The Crescent.

38A. The Crescent Southwest From a point 2 metres southeast of the south- eastern boundary of No. 49 The Crescent south-eastwards to a point 15 metres northwest of the junction with Yonge Close.

43. The Crescent Southwest From a point 16.5 metres southwest of the junction with Newtown Road south-westwards to the south-eastern boundary wall of No. 65 The Crescent.

(c) In the Third Schedule (No Waiting at Any Time) item number 13 (relating to George Street) shall be revoked and replaced with:

13. George Street Southwest From its junction with The Crescent southwards for a distance of 17 metres.

13A. George Street East From its junction with The Crescent southwards for a distance of 15 metres.

(d) In the Third Schedule (No Waiting at Any Time) items numbered 52 and 53 (relating to Toynbee Road) shall be revoked and replaced with:

52. Toynbee Road West From the junction with Leigh Road northwards to a point 6 metres north of the southern boundary of No. 1 Toynbee Road.

(e) In the Fifth Schedule (Waiting Limited to Two Hours Maximum Stay [Return Prohibited Within Two Hours] 8.00am- 8.00pm Monday to Saturday) item number 3 (relating to Archers Road) shall be revoked and replaced with:

3. Archers Road East From a point 10 metres north of the junction with The Crescent northwards for a distance of 5 metres.

3A. Archers Road East From a point 21.5 metres north of the junction with The Crescent northwards to the rear boundary wall of No. 162 The Crescent.

(f) In the Sixth Schedule (Areas on the Highway Designated as Disabled Persons Parking Places) after item number 1 there shall be inserted:

1A. Archers East From a point Within Disabled All Days All Road 15 metres the bay persons Hours north of the marked vehicles junction with by white The Crescent lines northwards for a distance of 6.5 metres.

(g) In the Sixth Schedule (Areas on the Highway Designated as Disabled Persons Parking Places) after item number 2 there shall be inserted:

(h) In the Sixth Schedule (Areas on the Highway Designated as Disabled Persons Parking Places) after item number 6 there shall be inserted:

6A. The Southwest From a point Within Disabled All Days All Crescent 2 metres the bay persons Hours southeast of marked vehicles the south- by white eastern lines boundary of No. 49 The Crescent north- westwards for a distance of 6.5 metres.

6B. The Southwest From a point Within Disabled All Days All Crescent 10 metres the bay persons Hours southwest of marked vehicles the junction by white with Newtown lines Road south- westwards for a distance of 6.5 metres.
