THANK YOU FOR HELPING “TEAM NEVER GIVE UP” By: Jennifer Peters

Jennifer Peters talks below about her family’s work with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Go to https://www.studentsoftheyear.org/ to learn more.

As the mother of nine wonderful children, two of whom have battled and survived cancer, I have many blessings to count each day. Watching Max and Emma step-up to this candidacy has been a heart-warming experience because they have only a few memories of the life we all shared during cancer treatment for Morgan & Charlie so many years ago. Student of the Year has brought our whole family to a new sense of teamwork as we rallied to help raise the most money for cancer research through LLS. We have seen the highs and lows that treatment can bring, but we have embraced the name of "cancer family" because it describes our journey over the past 20 years. Our two , Morgan & Charlie, join the thousands of kids who have faced cancer with courage, faith and hope to share with the world.

They have always been our heroes, and we gathered as Team "Never Give Up" for LLS to help our high- schoolers reach their goal of $15,000 by March 3rd. Because of their hard work and the generosity of so many Our Lady of Lourdes families, students and friends, Max & Emma were able to surpass their $15,000 goal for Charlie, and their "stretch" goal of $20,000 for Morgan...raising over $23,000 in just 7 weeks!

With the help of the Our Lady of Lourdes Community, they’ve taken a huge step to increase the odds of survival for little Harper and all patients who are currently waiting for HOPE to prevail in their battles.

We are SO proud of your energy, integrity and generosity, Max & Emma. And we are so grateful to the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and School for your generosity...you have truly helped make a difference!
